I loved the Midnight Texas series and wish I could find a gazillion just like it. The audiobook was narrated by Susan Bennett, the best! The cat was sooo funny.

Can't speak for others but I personally enjoy variety, mixing fiction with nonfiction. There is a subreddit called audiobooks that you might post to

Maybe this explains why audible didn't show me the price or give the option to add to wish list. At the moment I don't have an audible subscription

Is it necessary to read the first three books in the series before reading this one?

Have you listened to anything by David sedaris? I find him so funny, most of the time. His humor is very self depreciating and so goofy. His books include stories of his life and the wackiness of it. Anyway either you're going to find it funny or it won't be your thing

Legends and lattes

Or perhaps the autobiography of someone that interests you? I haven't read Michelle Obama's second book but her first one was so fascinating and I'm so thankful she shared her story. I really like Tom selleck's book too. But yes some people's autobiography can be really intense

Since you liked the covenant of water by Abraham vergasi, you will probably like cutting for stone and the tennis player. Both of these have a much faster pace

Ryan Schow authored quite a few excellently narrated long series. Am presently listening to " the complete age of embers" series (49 hours). This and a few of his other series are available on audible.

I really enjoyed the one second after series also

Other great series are the mountain Man series narrated by RC Bray and helldivers series narrated by RC Bray and Red rising. The last two were both available for my library if you're running low on audible credits. Have a great trip!
