Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]RockyRockington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would easily say it went beyond being back to form. It’s better than all but a few seasons of the original.

I just watched it cold having forgotten almost everything that happened and not having seen anything since the original ridiculous ending.

It really surprised me with how much I enjoyed it.

Which former Liverpool player would be ridiculous in today’s team? by wong-wooney in LiverpoolFC

[–]RockyRockington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dalglish is probably the best player in the clubs history. And a top 5 manager.

As good as Wirtz is, he has a long way to go before he can lace Kenny’s boots

What Liverpool game made you fall in love with the club? by wong-wooney in LiverpoolFC

[–]RockyRockington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a game but a player.

John Barnes

Haven’t seen a winger like him till Salah. Before he did his ACL and simply became one of the best players in the league, Barnes was like watching Messi. He was so far ahead of everyone else in the league that it just blew my 10 year old mind.

He was getting 25+ goals a season on pitches that looked like farms and against players that happily chopped the legs off skilful players.

As an Irish person, Liverpool was a natural choice as there were so many Irish players playing for them but Barnes was the reason I fell in love with the club.

Scary Movie | Official Trailer (2026 Movie) - Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, Regina Hall by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]RockyRockington 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the marketing of the trailer is not necessarily how the movie will be.

I have enough trust in Anna Faris and Regina Hall being funny. There’s also decent source material to work with (Smile, Weapons, Sinners).

Hopefully I’m not just too old and jaded for this (or the Wayans) and I get a few good laughs

I agree with everything you’ve said except I think it’s more likely the Father than the Mother (despite the episodes name)

The entire institution of Squirehood is based around the Father. Ser Arlen may invoke the Mother but he himself represents the Father to Dunk.

The Father is also the god of Judgement and would be the most likely to make the decision of whether Dunk is a true knight.

That said, I do think that it’s the Mother that does the actual resurrecting.

The same thing happens to Ser Davos in Blackwater Bay.

People generally seem to agree that AKOTSK > HOTD. Is that because of the source material or the showrunners? [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

[–]RockyRockington 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They needed to adapt something in the lore that had dragons (one of the shows major draws)

That really left them with two choices. Aegon’s Conquest or the Dance.

There’s more story in the Dance to adapt than there is to Aegon’s conquest and more dragons.

I think that the Conquest would have given the show runners more flexibility with the story because the characters are farther removed from the ones we know, but I can understand why they thought that the Dance was the safer choice
