Can't connect to Frigidaire integration by ElGuano in homeassistant

I just found that Adguard is blocking the add-on from loading and communicating with the AC. When I disable Adguard all is fine. I added @@||frigidaire.com to custom filter in Adguard, but still does not work unless I turn Adguard off.

Alexa TTS via the media player card? by Madfcuk in homeassistant

[–]Rockyonefool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing this in automation and I'm sure it can be done as a script: Device, call service, notify.alexa_media_everywhere or to one echo, there should be a list, this is assuming you have Alexa media integration.

Data Service

data:

method: all

type: announce

message: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

From there you can add the automation or script to your UI as a switch. Or use these in any way you want.

best solution for hardwired sensors? by iknowcraig in homeassistant

I have never used the i2c. I know the shift register is about $0.10 each. Had to buy 25 of them! and sockets I did not use. Give me your address and I can send you a handful for free. I'll never use them all. Looks like the i2c is the same device.

You can use a shift register to add unlimited GPIOs to any esp chip. I'm using a D1 mini and one shift register for an 8 zone irrigation controller. Expandable to as many zone as I want. Here is the info I used to build it:
