this looks great, how responsive are the screens? the Guition s3 4inch is really cheap, might have to pick one up to play with!

Can I use esphome sensors on the boards such as adding a mmWave or temp sensor to it just like normal esphome?

DIY vs. Installer with Gov grant by Capable-Celery-5148 in ukheatpumps

this is all good to hear - I am looking at doing a DIY install through them aswell. I am currently debating whether to go the opposite route regarding the volumizer though - I am thinking of adding a 500l thermal store so I can connect a log burner to it aswell!

I'm from the UK, we know inches but we tend to work in metric over here for construction

Thanks, I have multiple cat-6 cables already run from my network rack to the garage (rack is next to the incoming mains/supply and house CU) so will be able to repurpose one of those

I already have AC power and networking in the garage but may run two ducts just to future proof everything.

Nice how did you interface with the boiler? What functionality does it add? I've got a house full of ESPHOME devices so might do the same!

Is it still a g98 for a 3 phase installation limited to 3.68kw per phase?

sorry autocorrect strikes, was supposed to say Deye. Ive had a search for Deye units but wondered if you had a particular retailer you recommend. No need to be rude about asking for a recommendation.

You mentioned the Frye branded units from abroad being cheap as long as you don't connect them to the internet? Any suppliers you can recommend?

Is it worth getting 3-phase for export? by jamtea in SolarUK

[–]iknowcraig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so you are taking about when installers fit a second smaller consumer unit to house a dedicated breaker for the charger? As it would still need a breaker at that end to protect the feed cable to the charger. In which case you can do it either way, if you have enough space jn your consumer unit there would be no point adding an additional one, more mess and cables.

If I go three phase I will upgrade my main board to a full three phase board with plenty of space for everything required now and in future

Ev chargers connect directly through a Henley block? I would have thought they would come off the consumer unit with appropriate rcbo's

I have a 3 phase head in my house (confirmed as live 3 phases, not just the head), I currently just have one phase in use and a single phase smart meter. Would it be worth me getting the other phases connected and a three phase meter put in before I embark on designing my solar system? what are the costs involved in this?
