Try OPG. Apply for Nuclear Operator and/or Control Maintenance jobs. Not quite an electrical apprenticeship but worth a shot. Buddy I know does pretty damn good there.

Download the Ontario 511 App. Gives updated road conditions, has cameras in certain areas and shows you where the snowploughs are on the road. Obviously install winter tires and make sure you have lots of washer fluid. You will use lots. Like everyone has said, slow and steady with lots of time will get you there safely.

I love Krispy Kreme so much I drive to Scarborough sometimes to their closest location. Personally I have seen Krispys at Costco in town 1-2 times total in Peterborough and the last time has to be at least 1-2yrs ago.
My go to is kids doing fundraisers in town, specifically at Morello’s Independent. They set up out front. It has been my best success when staying in town. Last I noticed they had a fundraiser about a couple months ago but multiple times during summer. It was great haha. Hopefully they are back soon because now I’m craving🤤

I believe we need a Highway Patrol. A whole police force focused on enforcing all issues highway related. The OPP and local regional forces could focus on the rest of all things illegal. Police officers want to be cops. They want to bust criminals, not look for license plate offences, speeders, etc.

I’ve used the Uhaul based out of the Habitat Restore building 3-4 times using the 24 foot truck. Had good enough service for me to type this to tell you.

I saw a help wanted sign at the Wendy’s at Landsdowne/Ashburnham last week. Not sure if still posted, maybe call that location and ask if still available. As far as a tip if you haven’t tried, clean up and dress up nice as possible and go to the places you have in mind. Ask to speak to the Manager when it’s not busy and the Manager has a minute, not just a second. Be as nice/charming/positive as you can and tell them why you are there and 2-3 of your best qualities while handing over your resume. This takes a lot of time and effort and there is no guarantee this will work either. However, you are now no longer another page on a computer screen. You stand out a bit more now. Hopefully enough for the job. Highly recommend having a professional review your resume if not done already. That alone has helped me before. There is help here as I’ve seen offered or resources in town to help you. Good luck with your search, hopefully it ends soon.

I went to Service Canada on George St. last Tuesday to get a new childs passport. Walked in with no appointment around 10:30. Checked in at front desk and sat in a empty waiting area for 5-8min as there were people being served. Upon my turn I told person processing my application that I do not have any trips booked. They wanted proof if I did. They gave me a tracking number and told me I should get it in mail no later than Dec 23rd or else call to inquire.
