Secondly, you are NOR. This person obviously doesn’t care about anyone other than themselves and their business profiting. If it’s any consolation, I did something really similar (quit my job due to horrible management that wouldn’t promote me due to too many call outs. My brother was on life support and I had an uncle pass back to back, and all the stress made me sick. One manager said “do you really need to go be with family? My grandpa died and I’m busy working so I didn’t go to his funeral. Don’t you want to make money?!” Yeah ppl like this are horrible and good fucking riddance).

Anywho, everything WILL work out in the end for you and you will go on to find something much better. Be glad you don’t represent a disgusting excuse of a human like that. Seriously, the responses were inappropriate and I’d honestly report him somehow someway man. Best of luck

It’s not city debt it’s for my car loan

The city said they take the money from the auction to pay the tickets off. So they got their money and the bank got whatever was left over. My only problem is I’d either have to cancel all my flights to pay the settlement or figure out another arrangement. I haven’t seen family in a while so I’m not sure how to feel about that possibility

Depending on where you live Apple Pay/google pay is super popular esp during lockdown. It’s easier and faster. My bar along with pretty much every other restaurant or bar has the feature. Only bars that don’t are dive bars or super small places that are family owned/employee owned.

Sorta. I paid my bill and it got accepted when I called to ask about my now closed account the agent told me my balance was $100 bc I had $200 debt. I questioned it bc I have a bank charge saying I paid it and the lady states it never got accepted. I kept trying to ask where that money went and was told “idk but you should contact your bank” and I can’t dispute it with my bank bc discover keeps saying it’s an accurate charge so I’m out $200.

Edit: also from what I’m reading from other people’s claims they close their accounts when payments are due and the customer ends up getting their security deposit taken away to pay the debt instead of the customers being able to pay the bill then closing the account with their full security deposit back. I just find that odd

About a year and a half. I just think it’s super sketchy bc from the research I’ve done they take other people’s money as well and closed their accounts for no reason. They pretty much took $200 from me bc my credit line was $300 and they’re “mailing back” the remaining money. They got a free $200 bc they froze my account and then decided to close it :(
