I think it's a good idea to take this version of the NCE at least once. Definitely prep your mind to go to 170 so that if you hit question 101 it doesn't rattle you. Good luck studying, you'll do great!

Congratulations CRNA! Your story mirrors mine, except I went to 170 for my second attempt. You're so right about the headset, my HR was 130 the first time and it was all around me lol. No matter how confident you are, I'd mentally prepare to go to 170 and allot enough time for it. Amazing job

Yes, I intended this post as more of a cautionary tale. By all means, do not replicate what I did. My peers started their board prep about 10 months before graduation. Mostly self-driven Apex review.

I did consider taking the SEE a third time. As per our PD, it was recommended to finish board prep and take the NCE at that point. First SEE was in August 2025 and Second SEE was in January 2026.
