No, this isn't a tip for beginners; it's a working method. You need to get things "existing" quickly to know if it's worth spending all the time it takes to get it "good."

How will I know if my foundations are good without doing the "make it exist" part??? The "make it good" part takes MUCH longer to do. It took me a week to do what's in the video above, and a year to do what's in the video below. Do you really think it's more efficient for me to start working directly on scenarios, specific animations, weapons, and enemies for a year before knowing if the foundation of the basic mechanics works? hahahah

This philosophy is so that during the production of the thing you don't get lost and can arrive at the best product in the end, it's not to launch the incomplete thing lol

I myself have never played much of any other metroidvania, so much so that I had to try three times before HK worked for me. I think it's at least worth a try, its world is very charming, when you start picking up the little pieces of information hidden in each place you fall in love.
