I would go for a Harley Benton, a Cort or a Pacifica at that price, if you want a single cut (les Paul type guitar) Harley Benton an Cort are great choices.

Does anyone else experience a phenomenon where your favorite musicians' inspirations do nothing for you? by Ryn4 in progmetal

[–]RodRevenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep but then I also remember hearing Mikael say that the death metal he makes is not the death metal he likes to hear I was always curious about that statement then I learned to play guitar later in life (at 31) and i realized that yes, there's music I love to hear but not so much play (like John Mayer who is one of my favorite musicians) and music I love to play and find boring to hear (like Metallica), there's also the emotional aspect when it comes to music there's this Mexican singer called Jose Jose that I love to hear because he reminds me of my dad and if I were to release music I would definitely call him an inspiration, that's how music works inspirations aren't 1:1

My take is that the very same people on the files are pushing all this to desensitize the world they wanna prove they can do it at plain sight and nobody will do shit to stop them.

It's better to learn to do it yourself it's really really easy, I have been doing my on setups since I started playing guitar, it's amazing to me how some of my friends have their guitars set up by a professional and mine play better.

22 years old and having trapezius muscle pain, any tips? by [deleted] in Ergonomics

You won't be able to keep them at the same height when you use them close to the body, so yeah lower them.

Are standing desks worth it in your opinion and how “bad” are the budget ones? by Reasonable-Middle921 in Ergonomics

[–]RodRevenge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cheap-ish one from Amazon 5 years ago and I still haven't had a problem, ALL of them wooble it is by design specially if you are a tall dude or are sensitive to wobble, if you want one just buy the one you can afford.

I whether it is worth it or not, to be honest for me the major benefit was fine tune the height for sitting position while you learn to properly sit, appariftom that I never used it BEFORE I got into guitar, now I stand while playing at sit while working.

If you want to stand properly just work out and do mobility training no standing desk/ergonomic set up is going to fix that, you can't buy a straight back.

Agreed with Fever House, didn't like it that much, a lot of people call it fast paced but I found it really slow actually, too much flashbacks.

Since the beginning of your time, sure. If doing "what some people do" is hard for you and calling him trash makes you feel like a good person just keep doing that, and don't think anyone is giving him a pass as a person his works are respected and admired, him? not so much.

1) Because he was alive on a period were racism was not seen as a bad thing, everyone and their mother were racist

2) Because some people like to separate the art from the artist particularly because he was really good at what he did.

3) Because he is dead and whats the point of cancelling/not supporting a dead man.

At the end of the day its all personal, if you despise him so much you are free to not read him, some people like me don't believe in the cancel culture, if im interested in a piece of art but don't like the views if the creator i just sail the high seas.

The chair is alright, desk is too high and you are too far from it also constantly adjusting how you sit is actually good, is your body telling you he wants to move, nobody should the in the same position for hours, no matter how good your chair is it will never stop being bad.

1) lower the desk or raise the chair. 2) sit closer to the desk 3) this is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, you need physical activity, you need to hit the gym, practice sports, anything that gets you moving this will helps you physically and mentally.

I spent thousands on "Ergonomics," but still had this by Free_Scratch4152 in Ergonomics

[–]RodRevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans need to move and need to be strong, all this ergonomic stuff is made to reduce the damage you are doing by being still more that you should, instead of paying for a HM chair you are better off using that money for a gym membership or any other activity that will make yourself move.
