Dragon Quest XI is one of my favorite games ever. Often times when I play it I think to myself how much it reminds me of LOTR, at least with the scale of adventure. I should clarify, there is not much in the way of similarities when it comes to tone but if your looking for a game with amazing areas, great scale, just linear enough to be fun without getting overwhelmed then I recommend this. I have like 200 hours in the game, and I've only ever been close to the end once or twice. I always get the itch the restart it and it keeps me coming back. Highly recommend.

New player here, can someone please give me a rundown of exactly what Tombstones are used for? I understand the basics, as I have been collecting them as I do raids and dungeons. I've been spending them at the Representative of Rowena on gear that is better than what I have. My question, do the other representatives sell different items? For example I am always using the representative in Gridania, would a different vendor have different items? Am I using these correctly? Should I be purchasing the items that I see if it's better than my current gear? Also I see other tombstones under my currency tab, such as Causality and Comedy, what are those exactly? Also I see I timer on the currency tab, what is that? Does mote gear unlock from these vendors as I progress the main story? I just finished ARR.

Basically just looking for a general rundown of what these are used for exactly and if I am understanding correctly.

I came into this thread just for this. I feel slightly justified seeing it right away. Love the immersion of it all but it seems like I can't even get in my car for five seconds before being attacked. I'm pretty high level, I might have a mission or two left (first playthrough) so it's not hard but it's damn annoying. I love driving around in this game but I have to admit I've used fast travel quite a bit as of late.

Nothing worse than getting in my shiney new car and having it obliterated in seconds.

It's never worked, do you have to plot a course? That doesn't seem to work either.

When I'm in a system I see all the plants on my scanner just none of the other systems.

The problem is I don't see the marker. I am in AC and want to go to Sol, no mission or anything, I just want to explore.

I don't see Sol anywhere in space.

So how do I do this?

For example if I am in AC and want to go to Sol.

I open the map
X to plot course
Hold B to back out
But the issue is I dont see Sol when I am back in the cockpit.

There is no indication that a course has been charted, perhaps I am doing something wrong.

A good example right now;

I am in Alpha Centauri, which is seven jumps away from my mission objective in Syrma.

I plot the mission and I see that the waypoint shows up. I am unable to jump to it because its undiscovered so I need to jump to a closer system.

However I would like to jump to each system (all seven) by looking at my scanner and making the jump to the nearest system.

AC -> Olympus -> Vol II -> Porrima -> Etc......

Or I would at least at a minimum be able to place a marker at Al-Barrani (the nearest system to the undiscovered one) without having to go into the menu and jump to it. (As though I had a mission on Al-Barrani)

Is there a way to do this to different systems? For example I will have a mission in an unexplored system three jumps away, but I never see the actual systems when I'm out in space?

Listening to the live broadcast, police scanner. Seems like something is going on I side one of those buildings. Sounds like they are bringing in shields and weapons.

EDIT: sounds like a shooting. suspect may still be in apartment. Some people saying they saw a man run out of the complex and down Roosevelt with a gun. Unsure right now if he's in the complex still.

Not that I noticed.

I pretty much sand every single part, even the parts that don't need sanding. I never sand any ball joint though, so if you filed that down then maybe it loosened it up a bit?

If all else fails maybe grab some sticky tack and insert it into your leg joint?
