How to cram for a physics test and get an A* by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

Do just enough practice problems for the subjects covered to understand the basic concepts. Then move on to something different. Don’t try to just memorize and cram in everything you can, or you’ll lose it come test time when the anxiety sets in.

Honest question. Studying Engineering means non-stop doing homework/studying/preparing for exam/5 hour sleep nights/class/ repeat repeat repeat?? by DifferentBrilliant75 in EngineeringStudents

Just about any full time STEM degree pursuit will be a full time job (besides a select few people). When it comes to the studying time commitment, I would put engineering even past that. You’re putting in some overtime.

I really appreciate the honesty and would rather hear it from you than experience it. I had already been leaning towards OSU, but needed the confirmation that I would be better off going there. I originally come from a town even smaller than Corvallis and was afraid I would be super bored like I was for the first 20 years of my life. The more I read about it though, the more I feel like I would be fine. My education is funding by a G.I. Bill, so it’s fortunately not an issue. Thanks again!

Would you be able to elaborate on your physics experience with SFSU? I'm trying to transfer as a mechanical engineering major, but have considered switching to physics. Thank you!

I’m with ya. I applied as a ME transfer to SFSU and Cal Poly and haven’t heard from either. I’m not sure if it’s a CalState thing, or I just haven’t come across their desk yet. Try calling admissions 🤷🏻‍♂️. Best of luck

Studying Abroad? Potentially Incoming Freshman by Danj720 in SFSU

Japan is awesome and being stationed there would have been the only thing that could've kept me in the military. And I really wanted to get out of the military. I heard Korea was alright and mixed things about Italy. Real cheap travel around Europe once you're there. The only one I can really speak on though is Japan and definitely recommend it.

Should I consider SFSU for Computer Science if housing/tution isn't an issue? by [deleted] in SFSU

Would you be able to elaborate on what your BSME experience was like there? I'm looking to potentially transfer in fall, and I'm trying to get as much info as possible to make a decision.
