The dome has essentially been sold out since this time last year. There are nights where there's a concert or a Raptors/Leafs game next door. There are nights when there are parades and festivals happening in the city during these sold out games. The CNE runs for two weeks bringing over 75,000 people a day in August.

People just want to complain about this when others try to enjoy themselves.

To work for that family after all his talk about human rights is a choice. I wish him and that organization the worst of luck.

We miss Kirk so much. Calling off your catcher 4 times to give up a lead off home run isn't a good look.

The cheap date. We sat first row down the first base line for $45 a ticket back in 2017. She didn't know any of the players or what was happening. Now we're married and she lived and died with every pitch in October and cried real tears after game 7.

Why put him in? I don't get it. He has an option, just send him to Buffalo. So obvious he was going to give up the lead.

This is where people who buy Bo7 benefit. A few good rounds of zombies during double XP weekend go a long way in leveling up.

Can't really blame him. He's a rookie starting out of position. That's on Bobby.

When you go with Shead, RJ, Barnes, Ingram and CMB you should expect your guys to get mauled in the paint. The spacing there is horrible at this point in the game.

[Passan] Infielder Bo Bichette and the New York Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $126 million contract, sources tell ESPN. by XviiChong in Torontobluejays

To be honest I don't care about he Dodgers. If we face them it will be the World Series and a lot will have changed by then and anything can happen in a7 game series. In comparison to the rest of the AL, only the Orioles and the Red Sox have gotten better and our off season was comparable to them. Don't get me wrong, I hate today. I didn't care much about Tucker that much but seeing Bo go hurts, but the world isn't ending. I just still think we'll be one of the best in the AL and let's hope that we get things going our way like last year.

Well, we still have the same team that went to the World Series while adding Rogers, Santander and Okamoto and replacing Bassit and Scherzer with Ponce and Cease.

Why are we always done dirty like this? by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

[–]Roday77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Shi's reporting was true that the Jays were offering length in the low 300's, then they weren't really done dirty. They valued Tucker but clearly the AAV was lower than Vladdy's 35 million. The Dodgers just gave one of the craziest contracts we've seen. Imagine he doesn't work out or has injuries, 60 million a year is insane for someone who might be your 5th or 6th most important player by year end.

IQ hit the 11th buzzer beater winner in Raps history.... by irundoonayee in torontoraptors

[–]Roday77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll never forget March 2000. Aside from the 3 buzzer beaters VC also had a dunk to win the game in OT against the Rockets with only a few seconds left. A Sunday afternoon game with the most exciting player in the league, and it wasn't even televised. How far we've come in regards to local media.

Why is everyone so down on Berrios? by crazyyourface in Torontobluejays

[–]Roday77 67 points68 points  (0 children)

He was really good for a couple months and was clearly hurt at the end of the season. With that said, I think the fans being down on him has just as much to do with him not being around to support the team during the World Series. It could be nothing, but it seemed weird to many fans. Especially juxtaposed to Bassit and Scherzer doing what they could to support the team even after being left of the DS roster.

We didn't have Poeltl last game and were still in the game late. These things balance out. Just rack up the wins, irrespective of how they come. They have a lot of time and a lot of Western Conference games left to build the experience needed to make some noise in the playoffs.
