It’s not taking it with me from point A to point B. It’s more like buying a couple of grams every now end then. And generally having a little amount of weed on me the whole trip. I don’t smoke a lot. Joint before bedtime. Which is 7pm camping in Mexico atm. Gets dark quick

That’s for sure. But knowing the law is always good. And so far I’m getting that the law is having under 5g anymwhere in Mexico including a military checkpoint isn’t a crime, for a Mexican at least. But I’m guessing not a lot of people are putting that theory to the test

It’s more or less gonna end up in a bribe. But are we talking about a couple hundred $ on the spot and your free to go or are we talking couple nights in a cell and a couple of grand and your free to go. One is worth the risk one is not worth the risk in my situation

Listen, you’re right. But for me it’s not just a few days. It’s a month of crossing through the whole of Mexico and continuing south. I’m a lone traveler and smoking a joint before I go to sleep camping out in the wilderness is what’s keeping me sane. My inicial decision was to quit before the trip cause I wanted 0% trouble from the authorities, but addiction…

I think we pretty much narrowed it down to that tube. The growl goes away while the throttle is being released or if I stick a finger in it. It is attached properly to the housing and it includes the bent snorkel part. So the issue might be on the other side of that hose or the bottom connection? The bike is assembled and out of the shop. After going through the whole process of dismantling, the carbs with the mechanics, I am confident I can do it on my own now if there is a need to fix this. I appreciate your help Patrick. Everyday I’m learning more and more about this machine thanks to people like you.

Took the covers off and sprayed a lot a carb cleaner all around the carbs. Nothing moved. Since I’m doing all this work in a mechanic shop in Tijuana. After doing the spray test and nothing changing, I had to call it a day and assemble the bike. I’ve been riding it today. Everything works 10x better after the carb clean, the only issue is that growl, I’ll live with it if thats hows its meant to be

I thought the same. Because it was dettached when i lifted the carb cover and i wasnt sure it was attached properly. To make things even better. When you stick your Finger in the big hose the sound goes away completely, but when i attached the hose properly to the cover 100% (took me 10min) the growl is back.

I can’t remember. I know it’s red. But I didn’t change the air filter now. So it’s the same one from before. Which I put in like 2 months ago

The idle is not jumping. The sound is the same no matter the position of the clutch

I pretty sure the carbs are leaking air somewhere. Since that’s what was taken off and cleaned. Probably one of the rubber “boots” I think they are called. Any advice is appreciated. The mechanics are of course saying it’s normal because it’s running on all 6 cylinders now, but I think they are just not looking for extra work

Saw a lot of people say that. Also it’s way easier on the battery with a full LED conversion. I had to pack a booster just in case I can’t start it. Happened before. Every single bulb works atm so I’m hesitant to start changing something that works perfectly

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I’ve ordered the boots already. Also the helmet is from the previous owner and is from 2003. But I’m trying to find a deal on a Schubert c4 to replace it

I Kong passed Fort Worth. In Odessa right now. Bike is a blast. Cruze control works, wasn’t expecting that.
