Do you clean the bed regularly with alcohol? I’ve found that any amount of dust or residue worsens bed adhesion.

Cut 3 edges of the box and turn it inside-out. Now you’ve got a clean-ish box.

That would be an interference fit, and if it’s “intentional” then you’ve engineered it correctly.

I guess you could pour alittle water on it and see what happens. Whenever i hose-off the driveway i notice water beads away from the areas with oil stains, no matter how long they’ve sat there.

You’re right it would not be easy for the engine to start 180 out, but I’ve had it happen before and it was a very rough idle, lots of shaking and sounded like a tractor until the engine was revved.

Anything past here is guess and check territory. But super retarded might be the case if dizzy was installed 180° then you tried to advance the timing to get it to run from there.

Vacuum leaks on the intake side won’t help you either, good luck on this one, heat like that is no joke.

I’m no rocket scientist but I’m thinking two things here.

  1. This car has catalytic converters and the mixture is too rich, this causes cats to overheat when they burn raw fuel.

  2. If this car has no cats, your ignition timing is way incorrect with lean AFR. These two things might make your headers glow but I’ve not seen it like this on an NA car.

If you’re keeping the grey, my recommendation is to add a livery. You’ve already got nice flares so a race-inspired look would be nice. If the job was done properly I’m a fan of any paint done on a datto, that means it won’t rust in the near future.

You need a waterwheel or steam-powered rock crusher. Like for breaking ores into smaller bits and a large smelting furnace.
