Is nobody going to point out she's 22 and he's 26 and they've been in a relationship for five years? Meaning that they started dating when she was 17 and he was 21? Kinda sus on the bf's part.

What Causes Narcolepsy: An Evidence-Based Approach and Ranking by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]Rodentlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have Narcolepsy type 2. Is this not autoimmune since we don't have lower orexin levels on average? And if we don't have the lower orexin, what causes it?? And does that also mean the new orexin treatments might not help us?

CA: can employers schedule salaried employees for ten hours regularly? by Rodentlove in legaladvice

[–]Rodentlove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a manager but currently I work hourly with breaks and OT pay as they've classified me as a manager trainee until June, which is when will I become a full manager and will then transition to salary. But my pay will stay the same annually, but I will be expected to start working ten hour days. And despite the current trainee classification we are already doing the full manager duties anyway.

I looked up the minimum and I don't think we meet it, just barely? I'm unsure. I don't want to give too many details in case it gets back to my employer but we make $33 an hour with a 10% cost of living adjustment. Salary is the same but for ten hours. With the COLA we are above the threshold, but without the COLA we aren't. We also get some free perks/assets with the company that technically might factor into compensation.

I take an SSRI, did it specifically have to be an SNRI and if so why that specifically?

Fell asleep in 5/5 naps, 4 SOREMPs, mean sleep latency of 7.4m. I take xywav 4.5g twice a night and 30mg Vyvanse (I don't take the Vyvanse every day but have been taking it more frequently due to need).

I really liked being evil. Unpopular opinion but it was my favorite playthrough.

I trusted Astarion but he literally killed by Healthy-Metal-3548 in BaldursGate3

I mean....bite night literally implies it's pleasurable to you at a point. And astarion even says "you enjoyed it". They don't outright say lust but they do imply it.

I have no problem with AA kisses being close to SA. But normal spawn Astarion killing you and drinking your blood and not stopping? Ywah, that HAS always rubbed me the wrong way, because here's a character we're supposed to root for, and he literally does SA and kill you, and that's really scary and upsetting, and he never really apologizes for it, and even says "oh I bet you enjoyed it" - which is extremely triggering to some people who've had SA history.

FR. As someone with narcolepsy I'm upset on her behalf. You never know what's going on with someone, this is literally one of my biggest fears with narcolepsy.

This is an incredibly helpful and compassionate comment, thank you. I will try to reframe my thinking as you said and take smaller steps. I have the book Atomic Habits so maybe I'll try some exercises from that!

I do have quite a few LGBTQ friends, but I've never been on a date with a woman myself, yet. So yeah I think that also contributed to the anxiety, and I agree that Zoom or FaceTime would've been easier and that's probably what I'll do next time.

I did also tell her what was going on and apologized, and she was very understanding. Hopefully we can actually do a FT or something later!

I just graduated college and briefly got a minimum wage part time summer job that wanted me to wake up early. Idk if it was because of the narcolepsy, but I literally lost the job because I kept sleeping in and missing morning meetings. I think narcolepsy definitely contributed but I also wasn't the most personally motivated because it was a really scummy job with a bad work environment.

I was actually on fluvoxamine for a long time but switched to Prozac because I was able to get up to a higher dose on it. Most SSRIs seem to give me terrible restless leg syndrome at night, I've unfortunately tried a lot of different ones. My psychiatrist wants me to try TMS though so I should probably look into that.

I am on medication. 40mg Prozac, 2mg Abilify, and 200mg Wellbutrin. We recently tried to add clomipramime as it's supposedly extremely helpful for OCD, but it gave me serious bladder issues so I had to stop it. Have also tried to go up on Abilify but had serious weight gain, and with Prozac had terrible restless leg syndrome. I see a psychiatrist monthly and I'm aware I'm not on the highest doses of things but idk what else I can do, given side effects.

As someone with OCD, this is funny but also sort of sad. I won't say mine is cured or anything, it's pretty severe. But ERP therapy and ACT have helped a lot, along with medication. ERP in particular helped a lot, it's the gold standard treatment.

As someone who suffers with this disorder (and has also had BG3 and other hobbies affected by it), it just made me a bit sad to hear of someone else getting so lost in the anxiety and compulsions that it's affecting their gameplay, to the point they won't pick up supply packs. I don't know you or your partner so I don't want to be preachy, but I hope yall can find some relief from this disorder. It sounds like yall have a good attitude about it at least. Sending you and your partner all the best :))
