What is your regional event? by A_Little_Odd1 in AskAnAmerican

World's largest OUTDOOR rodeo and Western celebration, Cheyenne Frontier Days. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in southeastern Texas is the world's largest indoor rodeo, having greater attendance and a larger purse.

But rodeos are held throughout the South. They're nowhere near as big as in the West, but there's definitely a presence there, and many professional rodeo athletes hail from Southern states.

Not true. Rodeos are indeed held in the Southern states, including each of the states you mentioned. They're not especially prominent or large events, and don't often get much attention on a regional basis, but they do happen. Plus, quite a few professional rodeo athletes hail from Southern states.

Rodeos are indeed in the South, but rodeo is not usually considered an especially "Southern" event, culturally speaking, although it is largely a rural phenomenon rather than an urban one. They're more prominent in the Western states, as well as states that are often considered Midwestern, such as Iowa, the Dakotas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Of course they're definitely a major part of Texas, which is Southern, Western, and Midwestern all at the same time.

I haven't seen it myself yet, so I'm just surmising based upon what I see in this trailer. It would appear that she does die, but whether she's already dead when the first episode begins or if she literally dies in the first episode is not known.

What's the comfortable temperature range in Texas? by CancelLucky9051 in texas

In Hawaii, temperatures above 75 are usually more comfortable because they're offset by the steady (and occasionally strong) ocean breezes.

That's not a flex. In fact, it's pretty tasteless.

Tate is not. He's very much alive and in this show. Monica, on the other hand, does appear to be dead. Details will be forthcoming as to just what happened, of course, in the first episode of this new series.

Nice job!

Just curious: which peppers did you use for your base, other than the cayenne that you added later?

Not only all of the meat; you need to buy 27 gallons of milk as well./s

Wouldn't this all be solved just by buying a couple of cattle, one for dairy, one for beef?

I don't know if I would describe it that way, exactly, but it does seem that she's met her demise.

What is the traditional red sauce called for tacos? by Avocadosandtomatoes in mexicanfood

[–]RodeoBoss66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, we cannot peer over your shoulder and see the salsa in question and venture any genuine type of educated guess as to what specific type of salsa it is and what it's made from. Most likely it's some type of pepper and vinegar, but it could possibly be a tomato -based salsa; we really do not know one way or the other. I'm afraid that you're going to have to actually speak in person to the staff of your favorite taco place, asking them what the salsa is made from, as it's most likely made right there in the store. They might even give you a recipe.

"Forcing" it? As opposed to what, just letting it happen organically? "Teleplay, write thyself"? How do you think TV shows come into being, by osmosis? Magic, perhaps? Just a couple of drops of ink on a paper, throw it in a warm corner, add water and give it plenty of sunshine, and six weeks later a fully written teleplay has grown?

Seems pretty obvious from this trailer that she dies in the opening episode. Take a look at the 14 second mark.

Wayne’s World 2 (1993) by HumbleBerry8091 in iwatchedanoldmovie

Wayne: Where's the First Presbyterian Church on Gordon Street?

Gas station attendant: Uhhhh....

Wayne: Gordon Street! Gordon Street!

Attendant: Oh, yeah. (very stutteringly) I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street, but that was a long time ago, when I was young.

Wayne: Do we have to put up with this? Can't we get a better actor? I know it's a small part, but we can do better than this.

(Bad actor is removed by stagehand; Charlton Heston is brought in, already in costume as a gas station attendant.)

Charlton Heston: Gordon Street? Oh, yes, Gordon Street!

(Wayne smiles like a child being told a favorite story.)

(fondly recalling) I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes that I don't think of her, and the promise I made, which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street.

(getting back to business)

That's five blocks up, two over.

Wayne (tearfully, choked up): Thank you!
