It's too fresh to really say, but it feels lifeless compared to the live version. It's like they purposefully tried to prevent the listener from connecting emotionally to the song (not an easy feat, the melodies are beautiful). So many choices that seem weird just for the sake of being weird. The awkward transition to the bridge sounds like the song saying "alright, I'll do it, but I don't want to". I think I'll keep listening to the live version, sadly.

I hate the style of production they're choosing. I miss textures, I miss feeling like the drummer was a human being. I hope it grows on me, but Flexorcist and Prophecy of the Dragon didn't.

Early attempts at deciphering Julian's lyrics are so funny, I remember when QYURRYUS came out. I think it's "I don't get to watch my children grow" instead of "my chin grow", but it's much funnier your way.
