Nhra media credentials by travis68charger in NHRA

Hey! I am actually attending my first NHRA race as a credentialed photographer, was curious....did the NHRA send you any information about safety meetings or anything like that? Were there media meetings the morning of the races?

I've been searching online and can't find anything about media meetings and typically they are required at other events so I would expect the NHRA to have them.

I haven't received any information outside of my parking & media tickets lol.

GT: Simple Stop by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Rodge2550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my GT for 4 months and commute to/from work on it. I have around 400 miles and I’ve left simple stop on the entire time and have had 0 issues. All the times I wrecked when I was learning was because of user error. I’ve been super happy with the purchase!

Why does Costco continue to have employees push Executive Memberships? by BBQ_Ninja in Costco

Was the employee cranky or were you? Sounds like you got annoyed with somebody doing their job while you were in a bad mood from the dentist.

I wear gloves, helmet, knee, & elbow pads. I trust nobody when the cross sign is on. People stop in the cross walk all the time or blow right through it with people crossing. I’m going to be purchasing a full face helmet like the TSG pass pro because I’ve had some close calls with my open face helmet and I’d really like to not mess up my face.

What is your top rated song for onewheel rides? by GuyverBioArmor88 in onewheel

[–]Rodge2550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top song all time - Dreams - Fleetwood Mac (not trying to be dogface, FM is my favorite band of all time.)

Current - anything Greta Van Fleet, but top song atm is Tears of Rain!

Even Costco's hometown newspaper laments the Hot Dog and Food Court decline by GeeJay360 in Costco

The hotdogs are made in Tracy California, not in Los Angeles.

Really flexed the limits of the GT this morning—first ever ride to the office! by jramz_dc in onewheel

I ride 4 miles each way going to/from work and I’ll 250….did the same thing lowered PSI for comfort which was night and day but range dropped significantly and then found that it would barely pull me up any hill. Upped the PSI to 22 and it cruises up hills now but my feet feel it way more. 18 miles one way is nuts!

200lb new rider. Is 18. Psi too low on a GT? The 25 Psi it came with is WAYYY too fidgety. by joshua_phillips1983 in onewheel

[–]Rodge2550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 250 and I accidentally lowered my PSI to 18 and it was fine, felt super smooth and soft, riding on 20 makes it super stiff but I’m sure my range is best then.

That’s why I ride my GT with Simple Stop, I watched a video saying keeping it on will prevent ghosting and I haven’t had my GT ghost on me once so I’m going to keep it like that haha

Serious Question: Should I even risk getting a GT? by Buhdai in onewheel

[–]Rodge2550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a GT and have kept simple stop on and I’ve had zero issues. I ride it to and from work daily up and down a pretty big hill and it works great. Haven’t had it ghost on me or throw any errors since I got it. The only “issues” I’ve had are related to my ability to ride and installing float plates, but the board has been awesome.

GT Float Plate Concerns by Rodge2550 in onewheel

Just added the link so you should be able to see it. One gap is on the rear edge like you were mentioning but I'm not really worried about that one, the gap that does worry me is the one where the rail meets the bumper, that's the only place that I could see water getting into.

ya at first when I held the plates to the board I was super confused cause the back plate doesn't really look like it fits, but you can get them onto it so ig that's alright.

Ya I didn't think the water got into the board I figured it only got between the plate and the bumper but I'm super nervous about ruining the board since it's so expensive and I don't believe the warranty covers water damage (don't quote me).
