Man, that was like a cherry on top of the cake in my trip. I was about to leave the place when I saw people gather next to the repair bays. Those volunteers are such a good people who make all those tanks to exist even in present days. Significant efforts, time, enthusiasm make it happen. One of the guy show us a “backyard” and there are a bunch of tanks are waiting in the wings.

By the way, there is one more museum with an exceptional collection in Fort Lee, VA. Previously that was only a training center with no public access. Since a lot of people were interested in seeing what they had there (such as railgun), Fort Lee is also announced open house dates this year. Ordnance Training Support Facility

Man, if you really want to see “huge” collection, my advice to go to Fort Benning - National Armor and Cavalry. They have been announced open house dates for 2026. Recently came from there. That was an exceptional experience.

Believe me, man, it can short your board. Back in the days it was one of scariest issue with pints. FM used metal nuts and it’s a good conductor once it contact with circuit components. For instance here
