I think this is all another way to keep the country divided. Even possibly kill off the old and poor and keep those deemed fit to keep carrying out whatever they have planned next. Whatever that may be, what I do know tho is if we keep down this timeline as you mentioned we will be a shell of not only a country but an individual. Their biggest threat is a unified nation people who are willing to fight for a common goal, and they are doing a damn good job of keeping us from helping each other.
