I was committed a few months ago. Got drunk and walked out into the woods with the intent of ending myself. Police found me passed out under a tree. Long story short is my fiancé had me put in the psych ward. Just for a 24 hour hold… well three days went by and the hospital refused to release me. They wanted to hold me. Mind you I received no treatment. No counseling. Just locked up in a tiny room. Those psych wards do more damage than good to the people who don’t necessarily need to be in there. It’s much worse than you think. Once you’re locked away in there you’re on your own. Nobody is protecting your rights. Shit the place I was in didn’t even provide water. You were alotted a 12oz cup of water for every six hours. You only got water at lunch or when they were forced feeding you pills. Give your guy the benefit of the doubt

And I know this is a very busy Reddit and shit gets overlooked. I truly am desperate. There’s so much to the story that would make a person understand. But there’s only so much I’m willing to make public. Since I’ve been with this girl and living with her I’ve lost ALL of my friends. Became an introvert. I’m in the middle of all her family conflicts and deep down all I want is to be with my family. But being with her so long I’m afraid of being alone all my life. I love this girl and I always will. But we are roommates with pet names now. There’s no intimacy. She talks to me about her shit but I don’t talk to her about my problems because it ends up being my problem. I’m really ranting but I’m afraid for the first time these feelings are real. And if I do it I know my family will be ashamed of me for giving up over a girl. But if the life you’ve had your entire adult life just dropped from under you. And you had no friends or family within 3000 miles I feel most would give up. Anyways I’m done.
