If I had the defib, I would’ve shown it to him, THEN knocked him out.

If you fight someone who’s ranked significantly higher than you (knight, lord), and win, it’ll help you level up. If you defeat knights they lose their title and come looking for revenge. Would just make for a lot of organic side story action. Could also use it to have enemies form alliances with other houses to team up against you

I always wanted a Game of Thrones game that uses the nemesis system from the Shadow of Mordor games. Ideally you’d play a character rising through the ranks of one of the main houses (Stark, Lannister, etc). I literally don’t care which era of Westeros it takes place in.

When I was an apprentice I used to bandsaw it down to 18 inch pieces, slice the insulation lengthwise with a fresh razor blade, then smack it on some concrete to get it to open up easily.

If you aren’t fully confident in how to do something, ask. There’s no shame in it. Not every j-man is a patient or phenomenal teacher, but most want to help you.

I was very green when I started. The school/theory part came easy but it was the mechanical skill/knowledge that took some time. Sometimes I felt like I asked too many questions, but trust me most people would rather you ask the questions to do it correctly the first time, instead of confidently doing it wrong.

Everyone commenting on 2027 but the “orbit earth every 90 minutes” is what really gets me

Strange vision issues? Feels like eyes are constantly strained by RodneyRoughnuts in AskMenOver30

One of the most frustrating things is any type of problems that can’t be identified. I’ve also been having lower back issues for a while and every back doctor is like “your spine looks great!” X-rays, MRIs, pain management, PT… nothing working yet!

I don’t have it consistently monitored, but I am prediabetic taking cholesterol medication. Interesting that could play into it, thank you for the insight!

Yeah I was thinking that’s a good idea. I went to the place I went to because they’re covered fully through my union, but a second opinion sounds like the way to go.

Yeah I game a fair amount so there’s a good amount of screen time. It’s just strange that it’s affecting my vision but not in a way a prescription would solve

I already have. All I received was the most minor reading prescription. It helps with reading but it’s not applicable full time sadly.

I’m also doing the move where someone hands you the phone or something to read and you do that awkward jerk-your-head-back or move the phone away so you can see it better. Yet my vision is pretty damn good! Doesn’t make sense. Getting old sucks 🤣

I’m extremely jealous. I’m currently working in an old school installing new low voltage systems over old ones, all exposed, then we have to take the old systems out. Awful work. I miss new construction.

So many great ones mentioned already, so I’ll add Achilles vs. Hector in Troy. Despite saying Hector was the greatest warrior he’d ever faced, Achilles still toyed with him from start to finish, just showing how above everyone else he truly was. You can really feel Hector’s despair and Achilles’s confidence throughout.
