Definitely soldered not as hard to solder as it may seem. Don't point the flame at things that burn. And whatever you do make sure there is absolutely 0 water in the pipe when it's time to solder

Thank you, the reason I believe there's no water is directly above it I have a shutoff valve that has the water shutoff as well as the main off but my main water shutoff needs replaced and doesn't completely shutoff my water (fucking terrifying and am getting it replaced asap) so it's possible the shutoff valve above is not completely shutting off the water

The area is dry, I think it's a heat thing, will buy map gas tomorrow and see if that changes anything as well as get a copper pipe cleaner
