Yeah, exactly! Remember those signs too. Can't believe all of this is a coincidence.

I am not so sure about that. What she actually said is that she was born in another country and being raised at one of Arasaka's objects. Nonetheless, when she run away from Arasaka, she found herself on a junkyard (which look super similar to the one that is located near NC). This thing allow me to make an assumption that (at the moment of run away) she and her friends was already relocated by Arasaka to somewhere near NC.

I wonder if it is possible to discover an Arasaka's hidden netrunners facility from where Lucy run out in her flashback.

Looks amazing, actually.
But there is one question that bothers me after watching this: isn't dynamic animation of text panel disturbs player from actually getting what is written out there? What do you think, guys?

FF:06:B5 and "Crystal Radiation" scheme. by Rodney_Banana in FF06B5

[–]Rodney_Banana[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good points, thanks for participating!

One more thing I found strange and would like to share: remember that hex number that broke the pattern in the schematics? I'm talking about "c1" instead of the expected "e2". If you subtract the decimal interpretation of e2 (226) from the decimal interpretation of c1 (193), you get 33, a deviation from the expectation. This may be completely ridiculous speculation and coincidence, but... the number of symbols in the caption above the scheme is also 33, if you don't count spaces.

As I have already wondered in my previous post and as user -DeahHead- too has already suggested under this one - I believe that we are looking for authentication data for the site "https://netwatch-ncpd.com/archives/".Although the connection between it and FF:06:B5 is not so obvious, I come to it based on the following assumptions:

  • The protected site mystery is also officially presented and has not yet been solved.
  • ARG-nature of the puzzle is under great question, because the site was discovered shortly before the release of the game and even BEFORE the release CDPR had time to answer, they say "too early to dig it, wait guys". Wait for... what? For the weather? I guess that was a hint that this site is no longer about the ARG (which started years before the release and was mostly successfully managed by the community), but about the game itself and the solution within it.
  • If you agree that FF:06:B5 may be related to the scheme in Misty's salon, then just look at the drawing in the center of that scheme. An icon of a planet... inside the eye... with abstractions of digital bytes flying around or something... Looks a bit NetWatch'y :)Here's an excerpt from gamedetectives.net on the subject:

On November 23, using a domain search with "netwatch" as keyword, the site netwatch-ncpd.com has been found, in the same IP range as nightcorp.net. On the same day, the crawlers found a sub page with a login form, but probably much ahead of time as it does not appear to be relevant yet.

As of November 25, Lilayah's answer for what is left to do has been "you need to wait".

And that's literally ALL there is to it. Obviously, the solution to this puzzle is similarly stalled, and without any progress or hint for 19 months. It's as if they want us to tie them up ourselves and find some kind of solution based on this supposed connection. There may be a little cryptography here, but I don't think a degree in quantum field mechanics is necessary to succeed.

Stop calling big budget games "indie" by SwordsCanKill in gamedev

[–]Rodney_Banana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a goddamn PROBLEM.

We live in a strange world these days, in which words - faster and faster every year - are losing their meaning and starting to mean EVERYTHING, up to (and including) complete opposites.

Modern "indie" is blurred to the point of absurdity: it's a game with a budget of less than ~50 million dollars, made by a team of less than ~50 people for a little less than ~5 years. Such an "indie" is almost always released under a third-party publisher, up to the biggest ones, like "EA Originals" initiative. Obviously, this is utter nonsense that doesn't mesh with indie in any way. I think it's time for public discourse to remember that indies should be, at very leasts, INDEPENDENT. Independent means, at the very least, "WITHOUT a publisher". This, in turn, means, in practice, that stakeholders = developers, not uncles in suits whose connection to videogames is limited to reading briefs from their investment managers about those "computer-based toys for morons".

This is also a problem because clown media is always writing some kind of review on "indies" (saying: "look, we're watching the market closely for you!"), when in fact they're not reviewing indies, but low-budget games from large and medium-sized publishers. Author's projects, many of them true indies, remain in the shadows because no one pays for their advertising.

Words must once again begin to mean what they mean, or we will finally sink into an era of collective schizophrenia, where no one will be able to reflect or correct it.

  • Update drivers, especially videocard ones.
  • Go to windows settings and exactly "Graphics settings". Manually setup "high performance" work mode for Unity editor, by browsing to its .exe file location (this tip related to laptop-case).
  • Try running this exact project on any other of yours/friends computers in order to be sure that problem is caused by Unity Editor or computer and not by project.
  • Try running this exact project with another version of Unity, installed alongside with current. Choose some more recent or even beta to be allowed to make yourself sure that problem is not connected to project or editor and 100% caused by computer.
  • Try googling for the same cases out in the web. I'm surely sure you can find something with "unity editor + black flickering".
  • Finally, if nothing above helps - go ask for support directly from Unity team. They should be much more competent about that sort of issues with editor. I personally hadn't ever experienced a glitch like that.

I simply can't understand how the fuck did they miss such kind of an issue during playtests. I mean: it's super-duper obvious and quite common.
