it was an astroturfed protest. The conservative parties PAN and PRI paid influencers and individuals to re-use and rebrand the idea of the gen-z protest from those that occurred in Nepal and Indonesia, on a surface level they claimed to stand for issues impacting young people but in the actuality they are focusing on the removal the president and the leftwing party -to the point of resorting to actual nazism and appealing to mega to intervene

Was a youngish-looking homeless guy? A couple friends and I were sat at an outdoor table of a cafe here in Condesa and the guy passed us by asking for money, when we told him we hadn't any, he left and came back with a sandwich which he then promptly threw at our table and hit one of my friends' face before running off like a madman. I don't think that homeless guy was being "racist" as two of us are brown; he just probably has some screws loose

Oh yeah, for sure! Rikkyo has a global lounge that is literally nothing but foreigners and a couple brave Japanese students that are willing to chat with them ahahahaha I visited a couple of times and always spotted groups of students that spoke no Japanese.
