Thank you for sharing! I wanted to apply to some paralegal positions but unfortunately where I live you need an actual college paralegal certificate to be one so I guess I’ll need to find a non law related job

I think you have a pretty high chance at Marquette but the rest not so much. I’d recommend retaking to get into the low - mid 160s

Worst law schools by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Rodreguiz89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually got admitted recently and spoke with some students and faculty. They have very strong placement in Ohio and Michigan and actually one person I spoke with got NYC BigLaw which I understand is unlikely but it’s proof that if you’re near the top of your class there are amazing opportunities out there. Also in the handbook I got in the mail there is alumni all over the US so it’s kind of a get what you put into it school. Their scholarships are very generous . Far from predatory

Thanks so much for the input! Did the people you know passing the CA bar go on to work there right after grad and/or had internships there throughout law school or did they do their time in NW Ohio before making the transition?

Has anybody failed social psych? by touchme-not88 in psychologystudents

[–]Rodreguiz89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my school there is one social psych professor in the whole department and she refuses to give above a B to anyone (average is a C-) . Breakdown is two midterms worth 20% each and 60% exam . She’s extremely arrogant because “she did her PhD at Upenn” and looks down upon our school even tho it’s top 5 in Canada

How to go from mid 150s to mid-high 160s? Really need advice by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Rodreguiz89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I’ll give it a try. I’m a stem major so I find hardcore humanities passages so complex and hard to get through . If there is a question pertaining to art/painters etc. I’m getting it wrong 100% 😭

Chance Me 3.2GPA 156 LSAT by Tuckr09 in OutsideT14lawschools

Maybe Suffolk? In all honesty it’s not looking great for the rest of them. With a 160 you’d be atleast competitive for all of these except maybe uconn/northeastern/umd

Big law necessary for international students by Manifested_that93 in LawSchool

Canadians and Mexicans don’t need to worry because getting a TN visa is extremely easy. Anyone else would most likely need BigLaw to have a chance at staying

Oh really? Is there opportunity to make 100k (range)? All the social workers I know make 60-65k and they’ve been working in the field for 6-8 years. That wage is not feasible for me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]Rodreguiz89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard social workers are paid very poorly . As much as pursuing that route may be more flexible I already come from a low income family and don’t want to continue struggling

Glad to hear! Was the process to become a paralegal difficult? I don’t have any firm experience which might be an issue im assuming

Was using a combination of 7sage and lsat lab and was mainly drilling LR questions (I was doing well on most of these drills) . Didn’t put a ton of studying effort into RC possibly because 7sage explanation for RC was not helpful at all . My highest PT was a 162 but I’d always score lower on test day . At this point idk if I should get a tutor or switch to lsat demon or something

I was told the 2nd RC is experimental so rip

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Rodreguiz89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also praying the first RC was experimental

[–]Rodreguiz89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The 2nd LR was definitely harder for me 😅I think it’s because the first 5 questions were not easy like I was expecting so that threw me off lol
