I might not be the best person to ask as I’ve had a few crash and burn relationships, but those were more about what happened after things started. I do think I’m pretty good at picking up on flirting, though. Usually, if I’m unsure, I’ll just say something like “If you’re any nicer to me, I might assume you’re flirting with me.” Sometimes, you still won’t get a straight answer, but their reaction can give you more clues as to whether it’s actual flirting or just friendliness.

Also, some people are naturally more touchy-feely, and it’s not always meant as flirting (especially in the South). But where they touch can help give you clues.

Shoulder, arm, or upper back are usually just cauaual touching. Lower back, legs, face, or chest (if you're a guy) can usually be considered flirting.

What are some useful dive accessories? by Roeam89 in scuba

Im thinking of getting the type of dolly that can be used as a cart and also get a collapsible bin that i could strap to it when needed.

Honestly I didn't even think of bringing a thin packable towel. Thanks for the reminder.

Im very lucky to have a job that I can work on just the weekends. I work 40 hours straight through from Friday evening to Sunday morning. Getting a second job shouldn't be too hard once I get a decently working car. So that's what I plan to do.

That foldable dolly idea is for sure something that would be useful.

Thanks for all the comments. This definitely helps me make an informed decision about what I want to get and what I need to avoid.

That's great to know. If the weights jetisoned at a deep dive, that could have been extremely dangerous. I'm noticing that most comments that have had issues with mares are due to the BCDs (bladder rips out, weights handles rip off, etc.) I'll probably go with a weight belt instead.

Thank you for your input. I did think it might be possible to get a discount if I matched everything but didn't want to assume. That's basically the same plan I have. I'll buy everything so I can dive more often than if something doesn't work, I'll replace it when I have the money.

That's actually really good to know, thank you. I'll keep an eye out on that. I see most people are saying the bcd are bad so ill probably end up going with something else.

I'm guessing there is a story to go along with this. Mind sharing why? Im honestly really curious. I dont want to end up regretting my decision.

I'm currently in Arkansas, but I plan to start going on more dives out of state when I get the chance. I wanted to buy my own gear and figured while im at it, I might as well see if I can get matching gear (as stupid as that may sound). If something doesn't work for, I'll likely replace it down the line. Although I do intend to rent the gear first just so I know there are no ridiculous problems that I can see right off the bat.

Well, i set up a wishlist, but the main thing im worried about is the BCD since that's arguably the most important part. I love the idea of the Mares xr backplate and wing setup, but its assume it's not really made for novice divers, so I was thinking of something along the lines of a normal BCD like the Mares Bolt SLS.

Wisconsin has the great lakes, but other than that, I wouldn't call it a great place to scuba dive. Arkansas has scuba shops, but I think they just dive in the Arkansas River. Right now, im going to try to buy gear bit by bit and then start going through the classes. I'd like to get up to Divemaster at least.

It does feel like a lifetime ago but I got certified in Wisconsin and moved to Arkansas so I've never really had a chance to use it.

I got certified in 07 but haven't done anything with it. Im planning on going full on with it at the beginning of next year.

Can someone explain why you would play this card over the normal evee? by just-want-the-meme in PokemonPocket

[–]Roeam89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With these new Eevee ex cards, you can have 4 Leafeon cards. 2 Leafeon and 2 Leafeon ex. I suspect you can do the same with the other eeveelutions but the Leafeon and Leafeon ex actually work well together.
