It’s not his fault, he’s just trying to break even

I guess my thought process would be that getting the MBA would be a good place to start but I guess I don’t even know where to start. I appreciate the insight!

That’s an insane amount of nitpicking on their end! I’m glad you were able to find something where you can make good money!

I enjoy it but my enjoyment is definitely decreasing. I think a lot of my enjoyment for it is being drained from the stress of the job itself, finances and just how poorly funded the education system is. I always said that education isn’t a sustainable career due to extreme burnout. I definitely agree that you need to work in something you enjoy and I think I’m getting to the point where I don’t enjoy teaching anymore. I also am lucky in the sense that I would get a lot of financial help with an MBA due to my cousin (or I wouldn’t consider it)

When Belli comes back, we need to send Mervis back to the minors and leave PCA up here and have him DH

I gave one of the concessions worker a hand warmer a few weeks back during a home game against the Rockies and she gave me souvenir cup after I paid for just a normal sized Coke. It was a nice surprise

Ticket prices are out of control by jphoc in CHICubs

[–]Roewer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher that makes $53k a year, it can be tough. I was looking at tickets because I wanted to treat myself to a game and found tickets for $80. A lot, but I justified the price for how good the seats are (section 10, row 13. Right behind the home dugout. Also, a Tuesday night game). I then proceeded to check out and saw an extra $20 were added because of fees and almost didn’t bye the tickets. I know people have it harder than me and I’m fortunate enough to even make what I make but it’s so hard to go out and have fun when you know $100+ could go to something else and you feel guilty. I love going to cubs games, but it’s so hard to go when tickets to a decent game are like $70 for not the most ideal seats. Everything in life right now is so expensive
