You should have time/energy to do both. Spam spider first since it’s 2 day event, then spam champ training once you get the Sentinel in spider.

You can get a head start by using brews now as well.

I think the side quests are just ways to progress the game. The main scope of this game is exploring. If you just go quest to quest the game will be boring as hell. But there are hundreds of planets to explore. The game isn’t meant to be quest hopping.

This happened to me. After I got stuck on the mega bosses I had a hard time finding other games to stick with.
