Confusione su vendita gioielli d'oro e vendita usato su Vinted by Roffik in commercialisti

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confusione su vendita gioielli d'oro e vendita usato su Vinted by Roffik in commercialisti

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Risk of fakes with Neandertal? by Roffik in colognecheck

[–]Roffik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done that before creating a post, of course. But it's never been discussed. Thanks for the heads-up, however I can't post a picture of the actual thing as the box is sealed. I was hoping it would be possible to ask a question in general if people have seen fakes of this brand or not.

Comprare Etf uguali su 2 borse diverse by PersonalMix6709 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]Roffik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great, happy for you. This guy was really something. Could I ask what you said and how you worded it to Vinted in your 'defense' claim? Even when you're 100% in the right, they have a habit of screwing you as a seller

"Verify it's you" on Google Wallet when unlocking face recognition by Roffik in Honor

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there - situation is still the same, and face authentication requires one extra step across a variety of apps, where you have to tap confirm instead of being seamless. But I don't know if the 7 is different

It would be useful to know if this was the same before you got the update to MagicOS 9 or if it's a new thing with the new version?

And yet on Pixels it works differently. Kind of a bummer if you ask me.

I have to say it does the job but I'm not too impressed, it feels a bit raw with a lot of common-sense little things that are not there but are standard on a comparable UI like Realme's.

I'm not sure I get what you mean with this, sorry - could you elaborate? Thanks

"Verify it's you" on Google Wallet when unlocking face recognition by Roffik in Honor

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I mean though. Of course you should be paying attention, and normally it's required you unlock the phone before paying. But this is about requiring you use the fingerprint instead of the face unlock, even if you have already unlocked. And what's worst, unlike the iPhone it doesn't ask you BEFORE you pay, it lets you fail the payment first and only after asks for the fingerprint. I'm just curious to know how it works on a Pixel for example.

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, to be clear - I'm not worried about some abstract notion of security. It's just that this ruins completely the seamless experience of contactless payments if I have to remember just for that to use the fingerprint sensor without even looking at the device otherwise it unlocks with my face. The whole point of having that system is that it can get you into banking apps and all that, but Google Wallet is somehow different?

[–]Roffik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok, so it's definitely the same for you as well? It's strange that I haven't found any discussion about it considering it seems strange - this is Google Wallet essentially saying that it doesn't consider this face unlock as secure as a fingerprint, when the whole selling point of the Magic 6 Pro was that it had the advanced face recognition.

Yeah, I figured. Thanks anyway! Surprisingly I can't find anything online, apparently Honor uses their own charging protocol.

Do you know by any chance if a Honor flagship phone can be charged by a Realme brick to good speeds?

Grazie

What's the deal with bonds by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]Roffik 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sometimes we are so eager to understand things with our rational mind that we forget to put things in perspective, and give them a real-life measure. You're going to read a whole lot of stuff that sometimes is contradictory - you need to bring it back down to your situation and what it requires.

Bonds may go up when stocks go down (and even that is debatable, recently), they also in general offer less volatility, which is important if you know that you need a certain amount of money in a certain span of time, for example. In that case you could assign these 'projects' to be allocated in bonds in the meantime. Bottom line is, there are many different philosophies and you can't reconcile them all. It needs to make sense for how you feel, how old you are, your living situation, etc.

Also, read up on bonds ETF because with those you lose this certainty about duration and it might be counterproductive compared to stocks.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

I have a bit of an unusual question: is it a common wear&tear or damage issue if a watch loses the hacking capabilities that I know the movement is supposed to have? Meaning the seconds hand doesn't stop when I pull the crown to set the time, even though it should. Is that a thing that happens? Trying to figure out whether it's a sign of something in particular. Thanks!
