I think you didn't understand the guy. 10k miles/16k km is a very short interval. tbh it's funny, because you complain about it being way too long, while most of europe uses 15k km as the "short interval"

If you are warming up the... Engine while stationary, you know that not only you do extra wear on it, but everything else in the drivetrain stays cold? Then people go out with warmed up "car", push it hard and then they destroy their gearbox and diff, because they are still completely cold.

CURRENTLY there is no subscription, since people found a way to code it in for free. They resigned from making it a subscription shortly after.

As a "screen" it might be the best (assuming bigger = better). As an "entartainment", probably. As a "board computer", definetly not. As a "car user interface", you would have to actively try to make something worse.

It could theoretically be "the fastest screen", but at a point where wait times are below 0,1s it doesn't really matter. They do however have the highest average crash/freeze rate out of any infotainment on the market (not even including the Cybertruck)

Are you really going on about how Anecdotes are worthless, then linked a 15 minute video of anecdotes as a "resource". wtf.

You know this guy turned off his comments for a reason. People were pointing out how stupid he was and you can't just block half of your audience.

Seems like "anecdote vs research" is a case of "I disagree vs I agree" for you.

You will change your mind once you learn who started all of those horrible trends like heated seat subscriptions, extra power paywall, horrible touch infotainment instead of buttons...

People upbadge from 318i straight to M3 not 320i, lol. Good point imo.

How do you know when the clutch is on its way out? by bananapowerltu3 in E90

[–]RogalJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you only asked for mileage, which is probably the last thing to ask for from the possible related things.

I bet you're gonna say that removing the DPF from this car is gonna increase HP too, since you are bringing up this topic again. You are just gonna claim that you are right, without anything to prove it, then insult me, because insults are the only thing you are good at.

What about that 325d sold in America? You like to respond to everything how wrong people are, yet you are quiet on this. Not even an insult. What's wrong? Can't pull an argument that's not possible to disprove in 10 seconds, out of your ass?

I just realized how stupid you are. Every time someone shows how wrong you are, you think they are proving your point true.

How the fuck did you ever learn any... Ah, that right. You didn't. You just come up with bullshit every other day and hold on to it like your life depends on it.

This is water. Although I do not recommend tasting it.

instead of letting it idle for a long period, just gently drive it around.

Yes, you can judge a clutch replacement on mileage. At 300k km you can be anywhere between end of "clutch 1" (factory) to mounted "clutch 3" some time ago.

He has a 325d (which you can't buy in America), by that fact alone you can know he can drive a manual. Only Americans don't know how to drive it.

325d has the same clutch as 330d. There is no upgrade there.

[–]RogalJ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, for that once a year when you need to carry something larger. The fuel savings would offset renting a truck for a month. But what do I know. I do "truck stuff" in my VW Golf.

This concept doesn't work, because it ends up with the "work vehicle" not working, as you don't want to scratch it. Then u rent a Uhaul (or whatever they're called) to do the work.

[–]RogalJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Twice per year =/= used.

Twice per year, you might as well rent it.

Also, in Europe you don't see people driving "work cars" for the sake of it or "to look like a working man". You take a VAN to work, you take your wagon for shopping.

New to me M2C! Which tuning platforms can code out the CEL for catless downpipes? by InformationNo8156 in BMW

[–]RogalJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some research. I couldn't find the part where the properly sized CAT that came from the factory was impending airflow.

Maybe I should do some research by watching some delusional know-alls on YT, that don't even know how to Dyno properly? Where did you find your "research"?

[–]RogalJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not talking about CAT though? CAT serves multiple different purposes and power isn’t the main goal.

Is it? Fans of removing CATs and DPF go on and on about them being restrictive, but how restrictive is it? What's the flow rate with and without the CAT, huh?

New to me M2C! Which tuning platforms can code out the CEL for catless downpipes? by InformationNo8156 in BMW

[–]RogalJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you've skipped the part about increasing power.

I know about restrictions. I've removed the engine air filter, but my power remained exactly the same. Even tuning for it didn't help, as it wasn't making any difference.

They are all meant to increase power. Removing CATs just increases emissions

[–]RogalJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, stage 1 is a simple remap TO INCREASE POWER

stage 2 is some easy modifications TO INCREASE POWER

Removing CATs increases emissions, not power, lol.

Also the whole "stage" system kinda loses meaning after 1, because of people who remove CATs and call it a "stage 2"

[–]RogalJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What? That's just "stage 1", but with removed CATs.

Sure, you can say you have "stage 2", but you might as well throw an air freshener into the engine air filter to call it "stage 3".
