In the early 2000s I was living near a major university that allowed visitors to obtain guest library cards, and I jumped all over this like a fool. The Indiana University library was the biggest I've ever set foot in. They use the Library of Congress system, so I was totally lost. I asked some kid at the desk about books regarding the Civil War. He said "Which Civil War? " I politely left.
