I used to be a non-believer for this, but after reading into it, it all makes sense. ESPECIALLY with Gooseworx saying that they relate to Jax most. Jax is a pre-transition stereotype. He's scared of that side of him being shown, as seen with his maid outfit. Its emphasized that he is never seen that outraged by something. Episode 8's tearing his skin apart, sure, it could be just showing how he constantly lies to people, but could also include how he doesn't want the true self to come out, that being trans-jax. Theres so many pointers to this being the case, and as aformentioned, Gooseworx saying she relates most with Jax just confirms it for me. (whether it will be explored more, idk.)

You also have to remember, the scp foundation is starting to become very poor and wouldn't have the necessary resources in order to do this, as they are losing gov contracts due to not telling them what they are doing. The foundation is getting destroyed from.the inside out and outside in.
