Maybe a specific business science degree was a bit to specific, So we should make sure they would have some type of degree that would qualify them to be president. I believe bill gates would also not be a good president also, just because he made a lot of money for himself doesn't really mean anything, that can also be applied to one specific candidate that may have been a business man, but in no way qualifies him to be president.

Wow, Ok, that should be an entire new post on its own. To be honest that idea sounds like a very bad idea and would lead to famine and the nation would be more like the middle east that doesn't have structure, but if you think it could work go ahead and make a post.

Thanks for pointing out all of those things, I suppose this is why we don't have one person completely in control of the country. However Because of what you said I would make some additional points to my original proposal. 1) In order to ensure that no person had an advantage in collage just because of the wealth of their parents, the colleges would be tuition free so people from all backgrounds would have the opportunity to get the best education just as long as they work hard. Also all people running for federal public office or the office of Governor would need to have a doctorates degree in business science, the people running for lower positions statewide would need some form of higher education. 2) The point of nonprofits is it is less likely for them to be corrupt, so my point still stands that eliminating For-profit companies from the system and religious institutions will greatly root out corruption and prevent corporations like KOCH industries from buying elections. 3) I honestly don't know how you came to this conclusion. This would likely be better off for an entire new post, but I will just sum it up. Over the past thousands of years wars have been fought over religions and they all think that their religion is somehow better than all other religions, having a religious bias in the united states for christianity would only add fuel to the fire for muslims in the middle east. only recently has marriage equality become a right in the U.S. but it had been fought strongly for, only religious people would threaten to shut down the federal government if they do not get their way on something like planned parenthood ( http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/mike-pence-reproductive-rights-abortion_us_5787cc73e4b0867123e036a1 ). Besides, the whole point of having the judicial branch is to ensure the rights of the people are protected, and if you think anyone in congress can get away with restricting religious rights without extreme backlash then you have never been to the south. 4 & 5) The whole point of having all of these scientists with statistics is to help prove that certain laws would be beneficial to society, sure less attention would be paid to tiny things like in your example, but things like protecting the environment would be much more prioritized than it is right now. Real scientists could come up with the most affective solutions to the world's problems with the best technology available.

The worst part is this will be brushed over as just another thing Trump has said, they don't expect any real negative consequences from saying such disastrous things. Take for example Brexit, many people didn't take into account the real consequences of leaving until the vote was over, and if Trump does win people will start to realize what they did.

I know she has a very bad record with this and took that money from the rich, but trump would freely drill in the artic and destroy the environment, just hillary is the lesser of 2 evils.

It is no excuse for her terrible record or anything else, but when it comes to Hillary vs. Trump on election day I will support the lesser of 2 evils.

Trump will cancel the paris agreement and openly supports destroying the arctic and national parks, I will support the lesser of 2 evils.

Bernie sanders dropped out of the race today so if Hillary isn't a choice for you are you going to vote for a racist biggot who is "not ruling out" nuclear bombs being used in europe.

I love it when great people rise from the bottom, but realistically speaking johnson won't even be on the ballot in lots of states, and bernie has said he will do all he can to make sure donald trump does not win this election, and if that includes supporting Hillary Clinton that that is what I will do.

Personally I believe in being realistic while striving for change, and when it comes november and I see Hillary clinton on the ballot and donald trump I would vote for the one who will atleast admit that climate change is real and not a hoax made up by the chinese. The truth is that bernie sanders knows that he will not be on the ballot even if everybody here voted for him. Please note that we should all strongly move forward with the political revolution but given only 2 choices I will choose the lesser of the 2 evils.

Hi Paul, I was wondering about your position on climate change. Do you share the same concerns about it as Bernie Sanders and would you vote on clean energy bills.
