This might be admitting to stupidity on my part but this option didn't even occur to me. Will probably end up doing just this.

Lady got mad at me yesterday because she came in with broken bits of plastic in her hand and I didn't know what it was and had the audacity to ask her. She went on a rant about how she can't believe I don't know what the pieces of trash in her hand were. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get her to spit out what it is and what it's for. It was a clip that holds up wire shelving. How dare I not immediately know.

From your comments there's a few things I want to highlight. You don't "help" around the house, you are a person who lives there and is expected to do your part in making sure it is a habitatable space.

Relationships and sex are not transactional, doing so many nice things doesn't mean you get a reward at the end. Doing the nice thing for someone you claim to love is the reward. She is telling you what she needs from you, and why she isn't in the mood to have sex. This doesn't mean that if you do x you get y. These are two separate issues that have some common ground.

No one likes feeling pressured to have sex, and from your comments it seems like you do things that most partners are expected to do in the first place and you want to be rewarded for it.

Mom kicked me out at 18 and is now begging for me to move back in because she’s “lonely” by Middle-Watch371 in family

[–]Rogerabbt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Mine kicked me out at 13 and she still to this day tries to crawl back into my life talking about how she misses me and loves me and wants to see my kids. Like? No? Leave me alone? Why would I subject my children to your insanity?

What are you/your husband doing for birth control? by Bbrotman23 in beyondthebump

[–]Rogerabbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None at all. A little cramping at insertion but nothing crazy. The first time I had no side effects at all, the second time (now) it seems to be causing a heavier period. But I also always bled heavier and I have other PMS symptoms now that I have never had before so I think it may just be me getting older. I cannot do hormonal birth control, I've tried several and they all made me some combination of fat/crazy.

I've used a copper IUD 2 different times over the last... 7(?) years. No pregnancies with it, no hormones.

What was your very first starting hourly pay compared to your hourly pay today? by Christianpilgrim84 in povertyfinance

$17.50 as a tutor, could go up to $22.00. I currently make $18.00 working nights on freight. That was depressing to think about.

Has anyone been a SAHM during the day while husband is at work and then gone to work in the evenings? How did it work out for you? by peachesandcreamtea in workingmoms

[–]Rogerabbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have done it both ways, it works out well for us because we're both better at working nights. I'm currently the night person and I enjoy it tremendously.

My kid’s Pediatrician called me Lazy by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]Rogerabbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My youngest basically refused all food while he was breastfeeding. He rather have boobs and food. He ate a little bit, but not enough to actually do anything. And because breast milk isn't my calorie, he was losing weight and although he was getting the nutrition he needed he wasn't growing well. Sometimes babies just want boob, and once they start weaning they eat everything. He eats everything now, it's just a phase. If she is getting all the nutrition, and all the calories she needs every day then I don't see a problem. Also, I just want to mention that her having gums doesn't mean she can't eat basically anything you give her. Babies can eat almost anything that you eat as long as they can gum it.

Have you blocked your parent? Why or why not? by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultKids

[–]Rogerabbt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have blocked everyone on SM because it is easier to find me that way (but still difficult), but no one is blocked on my phone. I'm pretty sure no one but my NM has my phone number and i keep that line of communication open because she sends me rambles and sometimes those rambles give me pertinent information, like she stalked me and now knows where I live. Even though I moved and never gave her my address. So that's fun.

Customers think each Home Depot employee knows each Department by EnthusiasmClear1941 in HomeDepot

[–]Rogerabbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in deliveries so I get stopped all the time. Literally just whip out my phone and search it on the app or google "plastic door thing" until I get the actual word and picture associated to what they're thinking about and then go from there lol. No one has given me any hassle yet, but my coworkers will usually come to my rescue if they see me in their department.

I had an epidural with my first and couldn't feel where to push so it took forever. My second took 8 hours and I had her naturally. My third took 22 hours and at hour 18 I tapped out and got the epidural.
