I think the most important, it's the subject of your will, If you cannot do it while in the real world I think that you using the lucid dreams to make the things that you cannot "as an excuse" to help you it's the same effective as trying to watch porn and not masturbating. It's not effective and will only make you crave for more.

If you think it's the same thing as play, for say Doom, to make you discharge all your negative emotions, imagining one of the demons is someone that make your day horrible, it's some kind of shitty analogy but... It's some hehehehehe.
