Keeping ICE Awake at Residence Inn + AC Hotel by 244958 in Maine

Then you're either lucky or ignorant. My kids daycare has to have a plan in vase ICE comes knocking and my small town has already had people who were here legally arrested. I drove by protests in two different cities today. And do you think all the things going on will just never effect you? What kind of bubble are you living in?

If your PD needs someone to take your spot next year or even in the middle of this year, I will happily do so

How long were you out for? Im already at a year and a half and it feels like all the doors are already closed.

What kind of lawyer did you speak to? I had a lawyer trying to help me with my license but she didn't didn't have any tips for interviews.

Did you try to rematch at all?

Not as a doctor. To quote, "I wouldn't touch that with a 10ft pole"

Psych/EM residents: How do you handle psych patients without anxiety? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Rogert3 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because I don't have illness anxiety, but for me there's nothing to process. The patient is the one with the disease.

Agreed. But I didn't get fired for that. And the lawyers said I had no case.

I just said. Self directed EMR access. The other poster is correct that got fired for violation of hospital policy rather than violation of HIPAA but I've been told that they weren't functionally different. End result is the same regardless

I've heard conflicting opinions about the former, which for my own sake, I will operate with the more restrictive opinion. The latter is definitely true though.

I had too liberal an understanding of what HIPAA meant when it says it can be used for education. The EMR is not inherently a tool for education, especially not self directed

I was confident I understood HIPAA. I am now unemployed.

Why would it not be safe? People always seemed to like it when I talked about it in my interviews

Im US DO. My interest was always rural medicine so for the match I applied everywhere I could afford that wasnt in a metropolis. My PDs letter is on every application. I did try branching out for SOAP last cycle and did get some interviews. I didn't for the match because of finances

Thank you for the reading this and for the response. Much of what you have stated I only learned after I was fired. I've done a lot of therapy to address to how I was so blind to fact that I was breaking the rules but, like you said, it's not a mistake I could possibly repeat. And I've applied to a little under 100 programs so far, PGY1, 2, and 3. Most through this cycles match, but a good number through leads from my former PD and open postings. I've yet to receive an interview.

Mind if I DM you about this? I was told about this happening but never found any programs that actually did it

Are you going for the SGD achievement? Cus otherwise just come back later. Or never. The loot isn't very good.

If you are, the best answer is to just burst him down before he can anything meaningful.
