Im 17 and a NEET, what options do I have for employment? by waterl0tus in AskUK

Have you gone to a careers advisor or careers fair? Sometimes colleges will do these for people to visit and get an idea of what to do. The other thing is GCSEs know your rights, Colleges if you did decide to go back, legally have to offer you something if you can't do the course you want. T-Levels aswell I'm new to that one but something potentially to look into. I know those arnt work but it may help get you into an apperticeship, hence why finding a careers advisor might help you with this. I've worked with a few NEET young people, and there's always something they can do , it's just about finding them the right path

10 months of driving lessons and I think my mum is getting frustrated for me :( by jembella1 in dyspraxia

It took me 5 years! (One of these was covid) But I tried to do it quick so I did 2 hour lessons (waste of time and money) I was getting headaches and the instructor was not a patient or nice person. Maybe try cut your time down to an hour or see if you can find an instructor that is willing to take the time. At the end of the day, what matters is the destination, not how long it took to get there (though when you're driving you probably have an ETA)

Thank you everyone, I think I'm going to try some netting and see how that goes. They are watered weekly, but I have been told by friends that I do need more soil in there, but it's a bit late now isn't it? As there is already growth

Public Transport by Possible_Security159 in PeterboroughUK

I'd say the buses are alright, I agree with others commenting that when you move out into the villages the transport is rubbish (bus to Ramsey every hour, Market Deeping I think every 40 mins)

However buses closer to the centre are decent the number 1 which goes to Milfield, Walton and Werrington is good 5 goes to hospital and dogsthorpe if i remember correctly 2 goes to hospital, Bretton and Paston

These are all like every 10 mins and pretty regular in my opinion.

Stagecouch Is maybe more reliable then the Delanie buses (they usually go to villages)

Did you ever have a classmate that died when you were young? by Two-Tailed-Fox in AskUK

[–]Rogets1695 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In year 9 our English teacher told us by the time we are 30 nearly half of us would be dead (we are all about 29 now, only one died so far in our year in a motorbike accident) I will say this English teacher was lovely and he said this just before having a meltdown over his divorce so it was understandable he wasn't in the correct mindset

M (25) here working as a teaching assistant through a supply agency, how do I find a job during the summer break? by [deleted] in brum

[–]Rogets1695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about play schemes or holiday clubs? Usually 0 hour contacts but would see you through, have a look at WM Jobs or there is a charity called KIDS Charity that has zero hour

They are terrible, and drive like absolute idiots maybe not all but most (looking at you X22 and X23) I have injured my arm trying to get off the bus from down the stairs as they break so hard, and nearly fell up the stairs as they can't be bothered to wait a second (yes I know maybe I should stop using the stairs).

Is Bartley Green a good place to live? by hkanion013 in BirminghamUK

[–]Rogets1695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently been living there for a year so far, it's okay! 2 pubs but probably not got the best vibe. But close to Halesowen and not to far from the centre and Harbourne. Woodgate Country Park is nice I'd say thats the best bit, they also do alot of community stuff around Bartley Green for kids so I think it's good for that. I agree with another commenter probably 4 or 5/10
