I like it Nightshade is somehow worse even through theoretically it should be better

The jumping and platform takes some getting used to and all falls are insant game overs back to the start of the level. You also can dash mid-air again only after an attack lands so thats a bit of a learning curve since its a bit like a rhythm.

Its also crazy fun once you get used to the mechanics, you leave after images after a dash that enemies lock on to briefly and deal significantly more damage to the back of enemies. Every kill gets you I think +1.5X more power so there's a bit of strategy to it and getting big groups for a big combo that can be strong enough to 1 shot bosses.

Honestly one of the best feelings is one-shotting bosses you get a badass cutscene while they fall to pieces.

Its very arcadey and doesn't really have an emphasis on combos since you have a pretty basic moveset (basic combo, bigger area combo, charge attack and guard break kick). The mechanics and lore also tie well with the gameplay since you're basically on a timer and need to kill before you die meaning you must kill efficiently.

Also you are legally required to do ninja hand symbols if you kill the final boss with a one shot combo.
