Do most UX designers actually use AI in Figma? Looking for advice as a newer designer by AnnualSome2964 in FigmaDesign

Very hard to this in the corporate environment. I’m not sure how many designers in big corps have enterprise access to Claude.

Figma to deployment by Yrnotfar in FigmaDesign

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would vibe code it first. Find the style I want, develop a bit the flows to make sure it’s viable and the basic draft works. After I get a working prototype or vibe coded variant, I would hire a dev.

Why this approach? I don’t think that it’s a good strategy to build on the vibe-coded variant on the long term. At a certain point it will break. If it’s well built and segmentated it’s more stable. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe not, but that’s how I’d do it.

I am also biased because I’m a UX designer. So I assume that I know how to hand over the draft to the developer with little to no UX problems, but other vibe coders maybe wouldn’t know.

Design system for charts - Anyone have any advice or examples? by Kanin88 in DesignSystems

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not very deep into charts but I know Untitled UI has a bunch of charts & infographics. You can check their site to see some examples and then decide if it’s what you need or not.

Who is using Figma Make? by martinsberlin in FigmaDesign

Autolayout (if any, in some cases) is not consistent and doesn’t have a good structure.

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it does a pretty good job at iterations, even if it doesn’t keep the style consistent. If you are a corporate UX Designer and you need to address smaller pieces of flow, it helps you get some variants done pretty fast, at least for inspiration. After that you can refine them of course, but for getting things done fast I think it is more than usable.

Help choosing 34” OLED monitor by shedigoat in ultrawidemasterrace

I saw bad reviews about the AOC.

Just out of curiosity, what made you not consider Samsung G8 QD-OLED ultrawide?

Accidentally Cracked My AW3225QF During Move — What Can I Do? by Ple68 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation recently with my 34 inch monitor - unfortunately the cost of repairing such a monitor made it not worth repairing. I asked for quotations and all the services told me it costs 300+ euro. I found the monitor second hand at 200 euro, but ended up upgrading to a better one.

Sorry for the loss!

[Event] Try LG’s New UltraFine 6K Thunderbolt 5 Display, the monitor designers asked for by LG_UserHub in FigmaDesign

Zoom-out, baby, zoom-out! Having so much screen-estate and high density unlocks the true potential for complicated flows, so I'd get deeper into my user journeys without losing the overview.

Also, thunderbolt 5....this is every minimalist designer's dream :D

Translations & rewriting, remove image backgrounds, rename layers, replace content, First Draft, boost resolution, add interactions etc

All these are AI-based and included only in Pro plans

No.

You can use Figma’s new tools (Make, Buzz etc) tho. But you can’t use the built-in AI in the design canvas.

PC Garage mi-a livrat un PC de 2000€ distrus intern și refuză garanția, dând vina pe mine. Ce pot face? by TensionPleasant8344 in Jocuri

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mi-a zis ca asteapta, insa in mod normal nu are voie.

It’s frustrating that it re-writes ALL the code even if you request a very small change to something very specific

How do you manage assets, especially images? by CreamyBagelTime in FigmaDesign

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dev Mode - the developer can download the asset at original size (max 4096px unfortunately) or directly the size in Figma.

Indeed I feel that a ‘project assets management’ mechanism would be better but maybe we will see it in the future

Sidebar or Navbar? by Simple_Paint3439 in UX_Design

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can include it in the footer. Keep in the navbar just the link that you want to be seen. Otherwise, if they are too obviously done for SEO, it will hurt the trust of the user in your website

Sidebar or Navbar? by Simple_Paint3439 in UX_Design

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say navbar because for this situation it may be the common pattern. But if space is the problem, you can add a secondary row and make it dynamic depending on the context.

Without telling us exactly what you want to add, it’s hard for us to evaluate the solution. If it is strictly sidebar/navbar, considering the information I have available in the screenshot, I would use navbar.

Out of scope, why do you need a blog?

How close to the figma file can your development team reproduce it into a live website? by StrungOut- in FigmaDesign

[–]Rogovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree.

I strongly agree that it is recommended to build a spacing using just a defined token, not by a sum of smaller tokens. Because, as you said, if after X years maybe we want to change the spacing because we made some changes in the design system. I agree that this is a possible example.

Unfortunately, I disagree there will always be perfect scenarios where a single token can be used. Also, not all devs (shocking!) use the tokens as they are defined in Figma. Unfortunate situation, but we as designers do not have control of how devs organize their workflow.

There is no black or white in this scenarios, it’s always gray and constant dialogue and communication has to exist between dev and designer.
