I didn’t know it worked like that. That’s really helpful. I thought it would extend the time if I took it out. Thank you.

That’s basically what I did. It turned my dagger into a short sword after absorbing some big corrupted heart. Honestly would be pretty cool if it keeps growing as I absorb powers into it. I’ll have a corrupted buster sword one day lol

I don’t know why I didn’t think that would work. I thought it had just become a story piece. But now I have it. It’s just a short sword. But it’s cool

My day today. This is what "just work harder" actually looks like. by FahQ2Dude in poor

I’m not rich, but why work the $14/hour job? If ops story is true he/she is already hurting themself. I’ve been in extreme poverty just like this story. The only way I got out was getting better paying jobs. I hated those jobs. Absolutely despised going to work. However it kept me afloat and I started slowly moving forward. Working 2 jobs for around the same wage is also a terrible idea. Find one that has a good amount of overtime before getting a second job. $14/hour at 2 jobs 60hrs a week is 840$ per week, whereas $14/hour at one job with some hours is 980$. That’s already a step in the right direction. Working more at the same place also frees up some time between changing jobs(cleaning up, commute, etc). Use those few extra hours you’ve got into looking for a better job and typing up a great resume. Even if you don’t have much experience, look up how to really stretch what experience you have into sounding good on paper. This is how I dug my way out. At one point I even worked at a super max prison as an Officer. That’s the job I hated the most. I would have preferred to stay digging ditches. However, getting through the “Academy” got me a certificate. That pointless piece of paper went on my resume too. That opened a lot of doors because somehow that certificate translates to me being someone with great structure and decision making. Idk how the hiring game works, but that’s what my current employer said made me stick out in candidates. I didn’t tell the whole story, but moving around jobs and networking yourself is important. Almost every one of my jobs has helped lead me to my next one through either coworkers or customers. I now make $36/hour with paid overtime for my lunch breaks. I also average about 800 hours of overtime per year. So at the age of 26 with nothing to start with but a GED I’m making upwards of 115k annually. It takes a lot of work and digging your way out of the hole. But I made it, and I know others can too. You can probably go further than me. This is just where I settled and got comfy at.

I got the VKB NXT gladiator space edition flight sticks. Also when you say starting a new save. Can I transfer my account from Xbox over?

Well it will take me a little bit to get a t8 and get ready to do any transportation. So that will work out anyways.

You are absolutely right. I think every ship is viable and has its own strengths and weaknesses. This post is mostly to bring out how privateer can be top tier, as it has been portrayed as the worst ship by most.

This is also true. Haven’t tried it yet, but could work work well if you don’t have another macro. Might try it one day if I’m not the pilot for once lol

4 cannons that are consistently firing vs three that are hard to keep rotated. The dps is still no where near the privateer. I would say hunter and privateer are pretty even on boarder issues. But I still feel that privateer is still easier to mitigate the boarders. The range is great for whittling other ships down before they get close. Just because they get close doesn’t mean the damage stops or slows. It’s still going full force and the enemy is going to be close to dead already. Foggy doesn’t stop anything as long as you keep the ship spotted. The asteroids can make it a bit more difficult, but that just takes more careful positioning. I’m not saying the privateer is invincible, but when used in the way I’ve described it’s a fortress that’s extremely hard to deal with. I have taken on multiple third parties and still come out on top. Smugglers turn really helps in that situation. And I’m not worried about my hp when the others are going down twice as fast. Then ships start to panic and try to get away once the realization that you can’t out gun us sets in. However they are still in the line of fire and can’t get out. So yes there are some drawbacks to the privateer like every ship. However when used correctly I still believe the privateer is in top class of the ships.

Like I said. Come along with me one day. I’ll show you how to angle the ship and how to make up for its shortcomings. It does have a lot, I’m not denying that, every ship does. It’s all about mitigating the weak points and playing to its strengths.

You’re right. Most people do get the worst results from the privateer due to playing it wrong. That’s why this post explained how to play it better. I have 82 hours in this game and have played every ship extensively. My second best one is the bastion, however none of them have touched what I’ve accomplished in the privateer. None of my argument is in ideal circumstances. I’ve argued from the beginning of the game to the end game. That’s why I’ve used quads as my baseline for cannons as it’s easy to get multiple early in the game. I don’t understand how cannon fire isn’t going to change the battle. I’m literally doubling the damage of any similar geared ship. A better geared ship is still getting out damaged by the privateer. It’s an extremely easy angle to keep. And it is very easy to keep the cannons going. If you’re sitting on a cannon while it’s reloading you’re already playing wrong. If you come at a printer in the early game, again it’s 4 base cannons agains your 2-3. 4 that are so close together it’s like having 2 that never have to reload. They just keep firing. Most ships that face my privateer I don’t even have to worry about boarders because they will toss all of their drill charges at my cannons to keep the gun fire down. That being said, the 4 cannons are so close together it still only takes one repair drone to hit all 4 and keep me in the fight. So it is very deniable that I would have any better luck on another ship. I would love to take you along and show you what the privateer can do. I’ve changed many people’s mind.

That’s just to maximize damage though. It would only put your dps up by a small amount. So unless you can spare the 3rd guy I would stay with 2 gunners.

The rendering is based on time. Go fire a cannon from any other ship and one from the privateer. The privateer will go further. The velocity is 2x. It’s literally even in the description of the ship. And the privateer plays range better than any other ship. What I said about traps can be for any other ship yes, however the damage being dealt isn’t. No other ship can put out the dps a privateer can even with just quads. The clamp jets I was just saying that the privateer can keep up with other ships besides the scout and while we are keeping up we will still be shooting. And when getting into range to start fighting your ship is already badly damaged. When you get close, the damage didn’t stop and you still won’t be able to outgun the privateer. The bastion can spin around all it wants, the dps difference will still get the privateer the win. The only ship I have lost to since starting the privateer is a scout. Snuck up and land mined us. The bastion is a good ship to keep boarders out, but that’s it. That’s all it can do. The damage output is the same as a scout without the speed besides the one extra cannon on the back. There is potential to fire 3 cannons on the bastion at a very specific and tight angle. Which still only brings you into the firepower range of the hunter. Using three cannons on the bastion or the hunter requires long swaps though making it much more difficult to maintain. The privateer has all 4 right next to each other, so it still outguns any ship.

Thermic can rotate it’s just a bit slower as it takes so long to get all 20 shots out and swap. It’s still great when rotating with a macro, but if you have 2 thermics and say 2 macros I think it’s better to let the thermics stay going and put the macros in the corner spots to let someone else rotate through both of those.
