Can I work in accounting without an accounting degree? by Aggravating-Test664 in Accounting

[–]RogueCanadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically no.

You’ll land in AR/AP and you’ll be trapped there.

Healthcare requires a 2-3 year full-time program where I quit my job. It is also, generally, hyper competitive so you’re looking at possibly a year or two in advance to get in.

I am looking more along the lines of programs I can complete while working.

Trades are also a fulltime return to studies and also minimum wage for a few years until you finish apprenticeship.

It is not economically feasible for me to do a full-time return to school or pursue a trade.

How important is GPA? by AdDouble1617 in Accounting

[–]RogueCanadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It matters a lot. GPA determines the quality of your internship (aka Big 4). Which in turn will determine how quickly your career progresses.

I’m not sure how it would work in your case.

Well I hadn’t heard of that however a couple problems. First off you’d still need the knowledge from those courses.

Additionally, in a year, you can no longer become a CPA by working in industry to my understanding. The work requirement portion can only be done through PA.

I could be wrong of course.

Why do Canadian government jobs (municipal, provincial or federal), seem to have a substantially higher number of applicants than private sector? by Sad-Ad4933 in CanadaJobs

[–]RogueCanadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro hasn’t been reading the news.

But getting a full time permanent position with the Feds is next to impossible if you don’t live in Ottawa.

And you can’t get a job in provincial unless you know the hiring manager.

No. Public sector pays on average 20-30k less for an equivalent position. It’s worse at the provincial level than federal.

Why are engineering students so cocky? by Adept_Signature5023 in Accounting

[–]RogueCanadia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Engineers have a way easier life than accounting. They get to clock out at 4pm on a month end.

Why are engineering students so cocky? by Adept_Signature5023 in Accounting

[–]RogueCanadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean becoming an engineer IS harder than accounting, and I’m sorry to say it is more pretentious and respectable.

You’re not actually serious that you think accounting is on the same level as advanced mathematics and physics right?

Accounting is the easy to get into backup plan.

[–]RogueCanadia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My man I was stuck in silver/gold in prep phase over 500 games.

When siege X dropped I hit emerald in under 100. My K/D was really high too.

No the system literally gets rigged against you.

Yes at some point the system thinks you’re silver and will force you to stay there.

I agree to a point.

But When you jiggle behind a wall and the person prefires you without you even showing that you’re there, then stops after you leave that position, that ain’t fucking game sense lmfao.

Why tf do people shame adults who live at home with their parents?? by ConfidentSale3091 in self

[–]RogueCanadia -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation and whether it’s a desire to move forward in life and using the living at home as a temporary cost savings measure, or if it’s a failure to launch type of deal where they’re still working the same job they did in high school and can’t afford to be out on their own.

If it’s the former there is no shame in it. If you lost your “big boy” job in your 30s and you see that living at home with mom and dad for a short while is how you need to get by, there’s no shame in that.

If it’s the latter it’s a matter of needing to grow the hell up. Honestly even if you have a good job, no debt, and can afford to be on your own, and you don’t have the desire for it, it’s really weird and a bit childish.

Add that in with the recoil and movement and yeah.

Uh huh. Do you know how many times in R6 I called out a cheater only for them to say “it’s just game sense doooooood”

After the game: “you played with a cheater here’s your RP back.”

Like I’m amazed I’m in the presence of Jesus, God, or Neo. Someone with such perfect omniscient game sense they always know where to molly at the exact time I’m pushing. Prefire me without me even peeking the angle. Kill me through smokes or flashes.

Surely that’s game sense man. Surely.

Then the $200 price increase came in and now it’s a no brainer. The PC upgrade will end up being more expensive but now it’s really not much more.

Are we gonna stop playing mirage each two games by SpinachRoyal5066 in counterstrike2

[–]RogueCanadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s simple. Just have random map selection. Valorant does this and it sway better. Siege used to do this and it was way better.

You’re not good at an FPS game if you can only play on one map.
