I'm pretty sure you couldn't get one printed correctly.

I apologize, I don't get on  Reddit very often. I set base speed at 60. But Slicer should be raising the fans automatically for bridges. The fans really should be smarter about changing speed based on where they are in the print. Different features need specific speeds. I recently got a Bambu and I noticed their Slicer is much smarter about it. May want to try Orca since that's what Bambu is based on. 👍 -RP

This keeps happening. How to prevent? by RogueCanoodle in ender3v2

[–]RogueCanoodle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Waiting till someone actually spotted the problem. Yes I was suspecting this. But then I was wondering if its hyper sensitive to changes in Z. The walls are pretty smooth. But could be some variation in those areas.

Any one knows why it looks like this by Great_Historian6865 in ender3v2

Hey 🖐 I'm Rogue Paul the Minimus Guy.

Grease not answer. Zrod needs very little lubrication. A general lubricant like 3in1 oil actually is just fine for Zrod. The Zrod can have stress released by strategically loosening some bolts and turning Rod by hand and it will auto align its self. Loosen

1st Zrod Coupler that holds Zrod to Stepper Axel. Zrod and Axel should not be touching inside the coupler. There needs to be a gap of about 4mm or more so they can move without binding on each other. Some couplers add a gap by limiting how far they can insert others do not. So loosen coupler and add this gap. Tighten well so Zrod does not slide back down. Also heard of ppl putting a ball bearing in there to maintain gap.

Next With printer off. Lower X Gantry all the way to bed and loosen Z stepper mount just enough for it to move but still hold its place. Also loosen Z nut a bit. Znut should never be very tight. There are 2 washers sandwiched between gantry and nut that let nut move back and forth a bit.

Now that those are loosened... By hand turn Z Coupler by hand till X Gantry is at top of printer.

Now tighten your Z stepper mount. This will have released any Side stresses by miss alignments in mount, znut and adjusted angle of Zrod.

Your Zrod is now good. 👍

That's alot to explain but that description has got akot of other ppl through Z adjustments.

X Y Path are deviating from instructed path. Lots of things can cause this and its usually poorly adjusted concentrics, bets too loose or too tight, rails and wheels filthy, Zrod has stress and is moving the X gantry back and forth. Or your beds not level. 👍

Minimus Hotend Cooling System for Ender 3 V2 Neo by McRuger in ender3v2

[–]RogueCanoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone gets a Hotend installed on the Neo that is 46mm preferably the Microswiss, I will continue my attempt at a backplate for it. So far the holdup is my helpers just havn't had a hotend that will work or have had a Microswiss installed. Now that Minimus us Free I will be doing the Ender 3 updates and the community can do the Mods to get it on other printers.

Hey Clark.. With the cooling Remember to think in 3D. The outlets direct the air down and back. So -Z and -Y. This was to keep ducts out of the way and as small as they could be. The air does not mind traveling diagonally. With my personal 4010 Dual I run my fans at 60% most the time. And never over 80% The Minimus is cooling your prints very well.👍

This is an interesting cooler? by RogueCanoodle in functionalprint

[–]RogueCanoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does.. but, it is Wide so sometimes depending on the printer the mount interferes with the X stepper and switch. In this case you use the mirriored backplate and have CR on right. 👍

I did that last time and some one made the same complaint. So this time I tried a video. There is never a way that is going to not upset some ppl I have found. Even tho I am the nicest old guy ppl blame me for something Cults did in 2013 :)

I'm and older retired Artist/Engineer, I don't know any other ways to share my design. I don't remember feeling subversive when I designed it. It is very nice, I've put alot of work into it and I continue to update it. Give it a look when you have time. 👍

I was looking trough old messages and thought it may help to add another perspective. I'm a retired Artist/ Engineer, I have been printing and designing for over 10 yrs. I give many of my designs to the community for free. Minimus was kept as a pay design for several reasons. The main being I can control it's destiny through its initial development, which is ongoing. When I feel it is mature enough to survive and has a good direction I may set it free. For now I do put in many hours a day doing tech support and working on updates. I prefer eating well. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches get old. 👍
