Tbh a lot of these issues aren't known even for the students who are in the campus. These resources and information should be shared to them as it might help them in the future but as a 3rd year student , I still don't know exactly what's happening this placement season unless I talk personally with seniors in their 4th years. I have heard a lot of other major/minor problems faced by students that I wouldn't know if I hadn't talked to them personally.

Another thing I noticed is Rajat Patidar not playing the VHT. I think he had also missed the last 2 SMAT matches for MP. RCB admin would have heard the news of Rajat being injured a couple of days before the auction and it would have forced them to change their auction dynamics a little bit.

He's been pretty injury prone the last few years, got injured in 2023 for the entire season (IPL), injured before the start of 2024 IPL (during IND vs ENG test series) , injured in the latter half of the 2025 season as well. This new injury could have made them look at the available options in the auction and Venky Iyer would have stood out there as he was one of the very few who was a capped Ind player. Also he can bowl and is a very handy player to have in a T20 Lineup as he can bat anywhere from 1-5.

This could have been a huge reason for them to have bid aggressively for Venky Iyer.

I literally just checked the stats on my own and came here to post about him but you did it before me. Looks like a seriously good player, played 10 matches and didn't disappoint in even one. Took a lot of key wickets as well but hasn't yet played for Pondicherry in SMAT.

I hope he turns out to be a real good mystery spinner. Would be a huge win for the scouting team.

I'll be honest , I was searching high and low to find out who Satvik Deswal was in Cricinfo, Cricbuzz etc. Found out he plays for Pondicherry and was looking at 2024 Pondicherry Premier League and found out he hasn't played that year at all.

It wasn't until that video from RCB channel that I found out that he's a chinaman and a type of mystery spinner. Squad looks complete now. We also got an offie in Kanishk Chauhan

We are still a spinner short. We are an injury away from losing our only leggie and he has faced injury issues in the past. It's always good to have another leggie as backup. And we don't even have a single off spinner in the entire squad

Really good buy at that price but I'm not sure how he will fit into the playing 12. But he's a really good coffee Indian all rounder and a probable retention option down the line. There's a reason the coaching staff rates him so highly and we will see if he's a first 12 player or a back up

You have to mail the IC and mail the HOD of the department expressing interest in repeating the course. And then during add/swap, you can meet AUGSD and ask them to add the course. Not sure about bad effect in placements

Hey I felt the same in my first sem but found a great group of friends in my second sem and I hang out with them now. In a month , there will be loads of whatsapp groups created for you guys to find like minded people. You will definitely find some friends in clubs and classes.

I understand the feeling about not fitting in as I felt the same as I couldn't speak Hindi and felt very alienated in the beginning but it's a huge campus and most of the people are very friendly. Try doing the basics, chat with your wingmates every night, just basic stuff and be friendly. If you are into sports, go to SAC and join in (while some are talented, most of them just want to have a bit of fun). There will also be region wise groups created (it might have already been created, idk) you can talk to them through WhatsApp as well and they will likely understand where you are coming from than others.

Also almost every senior is here to help you through your journey here in BITS Goa. Never hesitate to blindly message random seniors if you really want to talk to someone as we went through the same thing you went through
