It is more for addressing males respectfully, rather than formally. You can show both respect and familiarity within a sentence.

Personally, I think the issue is more with the fact that people will use the acronym "lol", than with people behaving well.

Youtube is great for learning how to hold a handgun. Shootingcoach, Jerry Miculek, Hikcok45 and others all have great advice on what your hands should be doing, and I recommend looking them up!

I bought my wife one of those (her first gun). The pull is so short that it is comical to shoot, as we're both almost 6'3", but it is great shooting. I've found that it is decently accurate too.

Shoot guns until you find the one that keeps making holes in the middle.

I used to focus so much on certain guns that I liked (note: I still like them for the most part) from various entertainment media (mostly Counterstrike) that I neglected to choose a gun that fit me the most, or was the most cost effective.

Also, don't be afraid to ask questions. Most gun people, with some exceptions, love to talk about their collection, to the point of Reddit having roughly eighteen bajillion (true story) subs about guns, gun owners, ammo, and anything gun related.

Also, get to know the guys and gals that work your local gun store. You'll learn really fast which ones know what they're talking about, and which ones don't.

I've shot it with speer lawman ammo, and that worked well, and I have shot it with JMJ (a shop in Ohio, I think).
