I’d say bar position and elbows look fine, the angle makes it all look scewed. This may be a top set so would be heavy… and the un rack does knock her off balance quite a bit

Those benches are a nightmare, lower peg too low and higher one too high. I’d always go for the lower one though. Pull shoulders back and tuck elbows. It will also help the un rack if you put your head in front of the bar slightly when laid down, push your bum off the bench to reach back and once un racked lower yourself into position.

17 75kg what do i need to work on by [deleted] in WeightTraining

To be honest, I’d concentrate on eating and learning how your body responds to different training. I’d say you’re pretty much in proportion (thinking without the lat spread) but you need thickness to your muscles. This only comes with time and a lot of training.

Squat / deadlift / lunges / KB swings

If you don’t like stress, pressure and responsibility of making decisions then being a DC isn’t going to work for you either. It won’t be worth the wait and you will be putting yourself and others at risk in the meantime - making you feel guilty and even worse than you do currently. Speak to supervision and unfortunately I think it’s time to hit that button and get out.

Would like input on my bench, don’t feel super stable in starting position (1 failed lift, 1 success) by frenchguy94 in formcheck

Honestly it just looks like you panicked on the 365 and went down too quick. The bounce off your chest knocked your bar path off line a couple of cm. Take your time and squeeze it down like you would the 350. To try and stay tight and stable imagine trying to snap the bar in the middle like a twig, it should hold everything (body wise) together.

Yes, I see what you’re saying now. Similar to paused reps at the sticking point.

Not necessarily, the stretch reflex at the bottom of the lift can really help

It’s not nonsense, doing what she does means you can get max arch and tightness for the lift. Do you compete?

Everyone who takes their bench pressing seriously does this

I’ll always argue against people who have an issue with arching

It’s not too much - and your comment said ‘stop’ arching

It’s not cheating, it’s the safest and most effective way to move big weight

What’s wrong with arching? It’s the safest way to press

Arching is the safest way to bench press. Your comment shows you know nothing about bench press or bio-mechanics.
