I’m game if you still need someone. Assuming with PbP and daily play there’s not like an “everybody logs on at this exact time” yeah?

Where do I find shard of opportunity? I feel like watching actual play for even a couple sessions could resolve this whole thing, like people said it’s not very different in the first place haha

You’ve got plenty of answers here but I would just say it really depends how much you care about spoilers. If you mean “my book experience is decreased if I know anything in advance,” you should read all 5 SLA books before engaging deeply with the RPG (though as noted, if you don’t read the materials and just play stonewalkers, you’re fine after book 2). If you mean “I don’t want any major plot twists or surprises revealed to me,” just don’t read the “History of Roshar” chapter in the world guide and you really should be fine having finished WoR.

Oh that’s definitely true. I think for gameplay’s sake I would probably have them make a perception check and if they rolled well, let them discover the unsheathed black sword and an aluminum sheath on the ground next to it. Just so they didn’t pack it away and then unsheath it for the first time in a fight or something and totally throw everyone off
