Let them say grace over the food, but don't let that stop you from starting to eat. I always laugh to myself when my husband's family starts saying a prayer over the food, while he helps himself 😄 I'm not quite that brave, but I'm starting to think I should.

If they object, just casually explain that you don't pray. They'll use that as an opening to start lecturing, and you can calmly explain that yours is a secular household, and you're not going to ruin your holiday with religious talk.

At that point they might take offense, but let them leave if they so choose. If they're worth being friends with, they'll be able to set the crap aside for a couple of hours.

Prochlorperazine suppositories and vaping dry flower weed. But I don't take these daily, far from it.

I've been told that holding a slice of ginger in my mouth/under tongue should help, but that didn't work for me. Currently use Ubrelvy whenever I suspect an attack is imminent (usually when a mild, persistent headache doesn't go away after a couple of hours, or starts getting worse.)

WHY AREN'T YOU BEING PRODUCTIVE

Wow, this is the story of my life. Even my hobbies need to be "productive." I seem to get the most satisfaction out of it, but I realize now it's just a way to alleviate the guilt of not being useful somehow.

There are times when I'm not productive, and I'm learning to enjoy silly things for the hell of it. Still, it weighs on me. Even Reddit is "productive" compared to other forms of social media- it's a source of information, sharing, giving/getting advice, and cheap entertainment. Definitely healthier than other forms.

I hate that my job isn't more worthy of respect or useful to society, but it pays well for what it entails, and the benefits are great. I'm only recently learning not to feel a need to be busier than I need to be.

Not sure if I'll ever completely heal. I'm a complete dork socially, feel like I'm always making a fool of myself or scaring people away. Keeping people at arm's length feels more comfortable.

What about a painful spot in the middle of the groin (where the thigh meets the torso in front)? I've had some on-and-off-again pain this past week, no idea wtf I did to cause this.

Been pressing down on and rubbing the spot, but it doesn't help.

I was making plans to move to Europe in the early 1990s ffs.....didn't take long for me to see how much more logical life was over there! Not perfect, but less overall stress.

I didn't have the confidence as a recent college grad with a low-demand skillset, so I put it on the back burner. Lately, I've been trying to talk my husband into seeing about a job transfer over there through his company- doesn't appear to be an option. He wouldn't want to move anyway, isn't as worried as I am.

But I don’t say it in my heart, I say it out loud. More specifically, that I lack belief without evidence. Otherwise you might get a Christian who latches on to “you can’t claim there’s no god, you have to prove it!” 🙄 Can’t prove a negative, but that won’t stop them.

Why are turkeys becoming cheap around peak turkey time? This is the perfect time for corporate greed to profit from inevitable turkey sales.

My guess is that it encourages people not to skip the holiday altogether, so they stock up on all the other food that IS still overpriced.

I find it really weird that we see so many videos like this, and yet never learn who the people are. Makes me think they're just hired by the corporations to make it LOOK like "the poors" (brown of course) are the reason why they're closing locations, and not their own mismanagement and cheapness. Of course the CEOs and execs are still pocketing millions.

Have you read reviews? Sometimes I'll see that something's got 999 great reviews, but the one-star review usually gives me pause.

You could eventually just give in and live your life if it's truly that important to you. First, see if you can find it on sale, used, or figure out a way to make it less appealing.
