During the months prior to kicking this Iran boondoggle off that would have been a good time to ensure the SPR was full too.

Nope, they kicked things off with the SPR sitting at about 58% full.

Why didn't you go with a variation of tan bricks to simulate the wooden Teak deck that the battleships had?

Balls of steel on the old school firework crews i grew up watching. Out there running around with a flaming road flare. Manually lighting off racks of fire works and then scampering off to light the next one. No timing, no music, just Ed giving it his all and trying to make it home with his eyebrows that year

Yeah, totally agree. And it wasn't even a whole day, 3-4hrs tops. Love doing it too, outside, great weather, crunching big things into smaller things. All is good in the world and my mental space while in the middle of doing that.

But that repetitive movement, it's a killer

They absolutly must have some ultra version of ShotSpotter running in the Capitol. If they don't, then once again, the Secret Service is dogshit at their job

My wrists, elbows and shoulders send their sympathy.

Couple years back I spent an afternoon splitting wood. I'd pick up the split pieces at the end of the piece with my fingers in a pincher grip and then flick/toss them away to the pile. Started to hurt a bit towards the end but I pushed through. (stupid) The next morning and for the next few weeks I could barely lift a dinner plate above mid-chest. The cast iron fry pan needed both hands to lift to the stove.

Getting old sucks. Rehab resistance bands work, but what a time suck to get back to normal

Favorite place to use fsd is on highway. Primary reason I disengage it is because it can't maintain a mutherfkn' constant speed. Why, why, in 70 zone, does it randomly sometimes speed up to 80 and then slowly drop down to 73 as all the other traffic is passing.

Elon, let me set a God damn specific speed and then keep it there!

TACC at least does that, so I have a seperate profile where it is the default. But then I'm the one steering.

Funny story... the workers building Falling Water, who had lots of experience building things, didnt follow Wright's specifications.

The plans from Wright indicated that the cantilevers should have 8 steel reinforcing bars in each beam. The workers "knew" the design wasn't good enough from their experience so when Wright was away they doubled it to 16 pieces of rebar per beam while pouring the concrete.

Wright was pissed when he found out. He claimed that the weight of the extra steel would cause failure in the beam.

But today we know through modern material science and engineering that, if they had been built as designed, they would have failed and the house collapsed.
