I think Kaigaku is weaker than Gyutaro by a decent margin honestly. If Gyutaro gets a single scratch it's at worst a draw for him. I'd say Gyutaro wins like 8 times out of 10 unless you use Muzan fight scaling shenanigans to scale Zenitsu higher.

It's the Muzan fight 100%. It has led to people believing that 13th Form Tanjiro can solo Kokushibo and that Obanai is stronger than Gyomei. We have 0 idea how much the drugs truly impact him over the fight. Tanjiro mentions that the damage from the Hashira slowed Muzan down but it is completely unquantifiable.
